Why do they want to make someone feel unloved? These people are so bitter.

even witchlarpers are ignoring that whole pagan "rule of three" thing. If this actually worked, hope you enjoy "the powers that be" condemning you to a life of suicidal misery.
It's supposed to be "Hit you back thrice if you miss". Like having a gun do this while you're holding it:

The point is to discourage people from doing the kind of dumb shit from this post:
Because the idea is that you should never wish anything upon someone else that you aren't willing to suffer yourself.
That's not even a magical thing, that's just not being a dick.

The irony, of course, is if they're being consistent with this belief then it must imply that witches are evil because of the persecution they suffered.

I don't get this. Why do none of these people have an actual pantheon? The Norse gods are not really in line with the Greek gods who are not in line with the Chinese gods. Yes, all pantheons share the same sort of deity. But each culture enriches the idea so much, that a Russian domovoi is nothing like the Scottish broonie.

this comes with the implication that multigendered demisexual asexual bpd lizard-kin can be anything but failures.

because they are using consumer logic for spirituality. They can eat chinese takeout one day and greek food the next day so they might as well do the same with their worship, chinese spirits one day, greek goddeses the next day. Its a self serving mentality, they don't even stick to any canon, they make it up as they go along , they don't even go by the myths, just the consumer friendly version of the deities that they identify with, if they think Zeus is trans then so it goes and no one can tell them otherwise. If theyd actually were revivalists of pagan culture they might end up having more in common with orthodox religious conservatives than with the tumblr crowd.

Why should any God give a shit about your giant saggy titties?
"Hey, I'm thinking about irreparably mangling my body by lopping off my breasts. Good idea?"
"Yeah probably go for it if you want. I mean, I'm not gonna do that because my gods are telling me not to be retarded, but if you want to mutilate yourself then they'll support you."
I guess the gods only care about her tits and not that other girl's.

That's one of the few things that's authentically pagan about them. In the Classical world, deities were borrowed from other cultures all the time. A Roman would feel nothing strange about praying to Jupiter one day and Osiris the next. As the historian Edward Gibbon famously, if cynically, put it, "the various modes of worship practiced in the Empire were regarded by the people as equally true, the philosophers as equally false, and the magistrates as equally useful."

Eh that's debatable.
Most gods were just the same with simply another name, all descendant from the same PIE gods (see perennialism) Even non-PIE gods would easily fit in the frame "this roman god but just another name really". Carl Jung would take this as base for his archetypes in jungian psychology.
Serious practitioners in the ancient world would initiate themselves in one or the other mystery cult, and following that until they discovered what lays beyond those mysteries. A bit like studying under a guru in a specific hindu cult. We know that those mystery cults were very popular but exactly what went on inside of them is drumroll a mystery.

Day to day worship was (especially for the romans) based on the principle of do-ut-des (I give so you will give) and that is what they are doing here. It was essentially making a deal with a supernatural force. Very superstitious but I would not call it devotional worship.

I mean, yes, under the interpretatio romana, the Romans would identify foreign deities with their own ones, leading to confusing things like authors saying "the Germans worship Mercury as their chief god," because the Romans identified Woden with Mercury. But Dionysus, for instance, was entirely foreign to the Romans until they chose to adopt his worship from the Greeks. And Serapis worship was spread throughout the Mediterranean subsequent to the Roman conquest of Egypt. Because of the lack of a centralized organization and theology (despite the belated efforts of the great @Emperor Julian ), the extent to which people reinterpreted foreign gods as their familiar ones or believed them to be wholly separate probably varied wildly from place to place and time to time, but the point is they didn't say "No, only these gods are real, and anyone who worships something from outside our pantheon is a lunatic praying to their imaginary friend."

But I think we can agree that these "witches" would be much more deserving of respect if they were throwing lead curse tablets onto people's roofs rather than just performing lame Stevie Nicks cosplay.

People used to subject others who did this crap to torture and execution. Jews, Christans, and Muslims all did it since witchcraft was considered a serious offense in all three religions. In fact some nations still do torture and execute witches. I am surprised that witchhunting memes aren't sent to these spergs.
I never understood why witch-hunting is still so popular in Africa since the blood of Christ is a +infinity defense against all witchcraft, even the penis stealing spells.

You know what's also +infinity against all magick?
