Fucking “Lars and the Real Girl”. Staph talks all the time about how #actuallymentalillness she is but she uses a romcom to support her argument that psychosis and delusions are no big deal? Isn’t that like the opposite of what mental illness advocates argue, that people suffering from illnesses that cause actual psychosis and delusions need real resources like medication, therapy and housing, not to be indulged or ignored? Like the whole fallacy that if you love someone enough it will magically make them better?
Once again Staph selfishly inserts herself into a group where she doesn’t belong and spouts her offensive bullshit opinions.

Well, our little advocate reeeeally does think mentally ill people should be ignored/indulged, as she has shown multiple times.
And she doesn't need to worry about invading others spaces for too long, at the pace she's going she's going to develop some nasty syndrome sooner than later.

Staph may have taken friendly banter to be flirting as well. You get it a lot with emotional shut-in and speds; they find someone they get along with and get clingy just because someone joked around with them like peeps/good coworkers. They're smitten over non-awkward, positive human interaction.

Edit to add: for someone who spent a lot of time in the college scene, she seems completely unaware of the philosophical concept that there are different forms of love and they can be easily applied to other relationships, not just Eros or romantic/intimate love.

I could see that being a possibility (friendly banter as flirting, etc). PL, I work in special ed and lots of kids who are on the mid to low end level of the social/emotional dynamics spectrum take even innocent things as flirting or being the best of friends. Most 'regular' kids are taught early on to be nice to kids who are different, so even that is sometimes taken by the sped kid as something more than it is. I've had situations where a girl thought the boy who had kindly volunteered to be her partner in class was planning their wedding and had baby names picked out.

And as for the concept of love...I honestly wonder if she's so emotionally immature that she can't understand the concept of a deeper love than 'wanna fuck and cuddle'. That or she confuses herself with her thousands of labels and has no idea what actual love between partners can be.

You guys are being too generous. It makes her sound more like a tragic figure. What she wants is to use someone at her convenience. When she wants to have sex, they should also want to have sex. When she wants them out of the way, they should go away without any questions. She wants them to act exactly how she wants them to act exactly when she wants them to act. Too many posts and their too clingy/stalkery. Too few and oh no maybe something happened to them its been days. They have to say she's right about all her beliefs but also not question the not actually being poly thing.

The problem isn't that she needs a friend or boyfriend, the problem is she's looking for someone who acts like her ghost husbandos. Someone who will only have thoughts and actions that she approves of. She's been living in fantasy land so long she won't accept anything else.
