Streaming longer has never helped Phil since he's always relied on the same ~20 paypigs that will dump money at him no matter what. He's the exact type that should only stream when he wants to for brief periods and would get most of the donations he does now.

But, Philip Burnell is a MATURE ADULT who BUSTS HIS ASS all day with no time to do anything and none of us ever forget it.

I think what honestly is the problem is since DSP both has no personal connection with his fans and he doesn't keep track of where his donations come from except halfassedly once per stream it is likely he has no idea that he is supported by sub 20 paypigs and not being savvy about anything to do with his begging, he doesn't realize he could cut down his streaming time significantly and still make the same in donations.

How has the vest streak continued this long? I really cannot understand the mindset that the paypigs have. They must have dropped enough money for a car payment at this point.

The amazing part is it’s a punishment for the viewers and their open wallets and a way to milk them better that they created. It’s like if Jews in the concentration camps showed the Nazis that using zyclon B would be much quicker than bullets.

I am just amazed that Phil constantly harps on and on about how much he wants the vest streak to continue and then 5 minutes later will say, "It doesn't matter if the vest streak ends tonight, it doesn't bother me."

From watching him I think onlyicedcoffee isn’t a 100% true believer fan. It’s been talked about before where stream regulars are on a spectrum with king michael and derich and papavera are on one end of truly believing fans and then people like dragonquestfan and philly buckeye and pwdubs on the other end of pretty much just being ironic fans there to laugh at Phil. I think onlyicedcoffee is mocking him a little playing up the vest streak and beating the trolls and doesn’t believe all of phils shit.

Agree with this. Onlyicedcoffee engages with the troll names in the chat. I think he just likes being amongst the conflict and drama, and central to its resolution. That goes for making Phil squirm beg and look like a clown too.
The drama must energise him to the point where he doesn't mind parting with his money to keep it going and to put himself in the middle.
He's not your friend, Phil. You're his dancing monkey. Each tip isn't a donation; he's purchasing what remains of your dignity. Something only a handful of people would be willing to part with for the money, but turns out can be bought and sold nonetheless.

It’s just emotional manipulation. He knows full well it gets to his viewers and if he didn’t hit it suddenly he would make it into them letting him down and it being their fault even though he has gotten at least $25k in tips in 4 months.

Because he hates having to wear the vest now, because the worst for DSP is not being in control which is why he's now micromanaging the vest if he has to wear it, just like he micromanages all his Viewer's Choice goals or really any of the supposed benefits of donating to him. He likes 2 things in his goals, not doing them and being able to convince his fans that he won't do them.

I don’t know if people here have noticed, but there is building tension over Phil not being willing to play multiplayer games, especially in Fall Guys, with his long time viewers. He has been able to push it off making excuses about trolling and the only people asking for it not being “true fans”, but how long can he put it off? I mean it’s obvious he doesn’t want another lutherkujio or vincent call in moment for good reason. But just look at minecraft where he could only put off papavera for so long before he relented and let him join. Do you think this will keep building up?

Knowing Phil he will just keep making excesses until the paypigs forget or lose interest. Only DSP would take people's money for nothing and complain about his donators trying to have fun with him.

It will but Phil won't care and it won't matter. The minute another release comes out, he'll jump to that and put Fall Guys into the Pit of Despair. He might play 1 or 2 online games, but knowing his chickenshit ass, I doubt it. At least with Cuckavera, he's giving Phil a service for free with Minecraft. Otherwise, Phil won't ever play a multiplayer game where he can't mute everyone. If Phil cared about his long-time viewers, then he would've changed back when he first started

They'll tip/cheer small amounts alongside bait questions or cringey messages while pretending to be sincere to make Phil uncomfortable or make him go off on a salty rant. They subscribe and gift subs to their buddies so they can spam tractor memes and sub-emote shitposts with relative impunity. OIC is either a true believer that's too autistic to understand the ironic fans but tries to engage with them anyways despite not being "in" on the joke or he's an ironic fan who's too stupid to realize he could get the same if not more entertainment if he kept his purse strings tighter.

They'll tip/cheer small amounts alongside bait questions or cringey messages while pretending to be sincere to make Phil uncomfortable or make him go off on a salty rant. It’s possible he is just on the beginning of the Phil fan journey. People start out seeing Phil’s streams either because they were an old youtube fan or see his detractor vids and decide to give him a chance. They sub and tip and cheer and try joking around and asking questions. Then either Phil treats them like shit, a mod or fan sperg does something stupid and Phil protects them or one of his begging schemes or playthroughs pisses them off. Maybe a combination of those. That’s when they learn giving Phil money isn’t fun anymore.

I think there are three outcomes for OIC. The first is he ends up as a mod being happy with the power and not giving money anymore. The second is he ends up like bethe or jimbob where he is still a fan, but doesn’t want to give him money anymore. The third is he ends up like pwdubs or philly buckeye or snowkarl where he laughs at Phil and mocks him and ends up banned.

Knowing low effort DSP, it's probably yet another vest that he's going to swear looks great on him and can replace the platinum vest because it's so cool (it will look boring as usual because DSP doesn't get his gimmick's appeal or doesn't want to).

I want it to be announcing a new couch. It would be a perfect Phil thing to do. He would talk about how it is so important and will improve the streams and then his audience will ask how it affects anyone other than him. They will want to know why not get a new laptop or preorder the consoles or get a green screen or new vest and he will get angry and call them entitled.

DSP seems to imply that he was just an naïve kid during those times, and just didn’t have enough life experience to make sound decisions, or give “mature” commentary without pathetically unfunny and constant sex jokes. We shouldn’t judge him because he was just a dumb, ignorant kid who just flat out didn’t know what he was doing!

And then you remember that Phil was 32 goddamn years old in 2014.

Phil is perfectly okay with playing the “I was just a kid!” card for things he did in his early thirties. This really shows DSP’s arrested development. It’s like, in his head he sees himself ten to fifteen years younger than he actually is, and doesn’t have the self-awareness to realize that well-adjusted 38 year-olds don’t behave this way.

Anyways... what a hilarious rant that was. Another hilarious moment was earlier in his rant, he asked the chat something like “Guys what do you think? Would you have rather seen me sell out and be some kind of cartoon character? Or do you prefer the awesome, honest, real streamer I am today?” And he stared at his chat for twenty seconds (desperately seeking validation) and the vast majority of his chat just wasn’t buying his bullshit. He sees this and just goes “Well, nobody seems to be paying attention so I’m just gonna go back to playing the game!”

It really can’t be overstated how weird it is that phil brags about how much he’s matured from his early youtube days when he was what a late 20s-early 30s adult? He Makes it sound like he had the maturity levels of a 14 or 15 year old back then....

like god damn I’m still not even as old as phil was at his earliest age in his career and I already feel more mature than he was.

at that age the only thing that should cause a significant change in your maturity is if you have a kid or something....

but his minecraft world is single player only and there is absolutely no way to change that and he's not willing to make a new world just to let papavera in!
