Well, the criteria for Discord entry just got steeper. Now not only must you give your Discord and fellate Alex, the One True Developer, you must also link your Reddit account even if you're not applying to join the subreddit (the process of which apparently has been bundled into joining the Discord server).

There's now an official "Arbitrator" to resolve disputes on the Discord (or with Alex's mods) which seems rather silly since past experience states they're just banning people who go against the grain or stir the pot.

Just want to add. On your Reddit account, in order to apply to the discord they flat out state they will throw you on a waitlist and forget about you if you haven’t taken the time to suck the dicks of bad fan art posts in the Reddit by commenting positively and making your own positive posts. Probably in an effort to make their subreddit look more active. Whenever I poke my head in there it’s so dead since the only material they approve is dick sucking.

The entry application said:
What is your Discord User ID?
(preface: discord servers are referred to as guilds in the API docs)

Now this is a pretty big stretch, but normally there's no reason not to just use a Username#0000 tag because most bot libraries support user object caching, and this suggests they need the ID specifically. As of January of this year, Discord API doesn't give any easy interface for user accounts to fetch the entire member list for a guild (there is an endpoint for this but it's been made bot-only, likely because of scrapers like tracr.co). However, you can still get a specific guild member for any guild you're in without special permissions by hitting the Get Guild Member endpoint with a user ID.

Joel_creeper's been caught writing selfbots in the past, so I'm guessing they're checking your ID against each "hate server" to make sure you're not a member. They can only query for guild members with a user ID, and since fetching member lists (along with user metadata) is no longer feasible they have no choice but to ask you for it.

If you go by what Reddit fags are saying, they are most definitely checking to see if you’re in any servers like Love Letter at the time of application. After you pass the test of being a true and loyal cock sucker fan, you can join whatever the fuck kind of hate server you want. Unless they’ve perfected the bot.

I was gonna post a suggestion, but remembered Alex is lurking this thread and I don't want to give ideas. Shame

Also can't someone get any existing Legacy Member banned by submitting an application on their behalf with cum chalice cancer? The application stuff in general sounds pretty flawed.

I sort of feel like he could just essentially abandon the server he has set up and then set up ones he’s actually active in, and tie that one to a Patreon tier. That way if someone’s coming in to shit up the server, you still get their money.

I won’t fault him for attempting to reduce trolling because he’s been dunked on non-stop lately, but he’s creating more busy work from himself when a great demo could earn back a ton of good will.

If I was to give Alex some legitimate advice on all this at this point; Hire a fucking community manager. A full time, proper, paid shmuck to deal with all the server and reddit crap. Then you have a wall between you and the unending tide of shit you've summoned upon yourself, and a scapegoat to blame whenever any one moderation activity is too over the top. This would, in any sane world, let you decouple from the server moderation in an active sense and actually finish your damned game.

Why paid role and not a freebie? Whoever takes that position becomes the focal point of the chimpouts in that server, and is going to get abused to hell and back. If you don't compensate them, they're liable to decide that this shit isn't worth in in short order. A constantly rotating community manager kills any stability the position could have offered, and kills the credibility in the community, and makes each successors job harder, as community members rally around their favorites, and compare the new guy to the old.

This would all require Alex to rub two braincells together and treat this like an actual business venture and not an autistic fantasy, but who knows. Maybe he's lurking while his unity profiler dies horribly in the background, choking on spaghetti.

Unless he has changed in the last years (:optimistic:), back then when his problem was the emails I remember well that people suggested that he got a secretary to filter his emails for him. However, his excuse was that they probably would do a poor job and he couldn't trust someone else but him to do something that 'important'.

Now that I think about it, who knows what he could've been hiding in his email or whatever to be so apprehensive to get a simple secretary. Even if it was actually nothing, because of his extreme distrust I really doubt he'll ever get a CM. A paid one, even more unlikely.

Going back to the implementation of the new rivals. Did my daily Reddit dip. Found Alex’s response.

After releasing the demo, there will be two immediate concerns:

  • Is Osana functionally broken? Do I need to upload emergency bug-fixing builds?
  • Is Osana poorly designed? Do I need to re-design any aspects of Osana in response to player feedback?
After addressing these two issues, the next concern would be the determining the timing of the crowdfunding campaign. When would it be okay to launch the campaign?

The crowdfunding campaign can only succeed if the Yandere Simulator fanbase is large and healthy. It is currently difficult to judge the number of Yandere Simulator supporters. I haven't uploaded any YouTube videos in months, so we can't use views/comments/likes/subscribers as a measuring stick. The subreddit and Discord are currently "closed to the public", so we can't use their activity as a measuring stick, either.

After I have uploaded an Osana Release Date video, uploaded the demo, and made a video about the demo, the activity on the demo video will - to an extent - allow us to make more meaningful estimations about the current size/health of the Yandere Simulator fanbase.

Anti-YandereDev propaganda was allowed to spread unchecked throughout 2020. If this propaganda has reduced the Yandere Sim fanbase to the point that a crowdfunding campaign no longer has a chance of success, the next course of action would be to attempt to undo the damage that was done by the Anti-YandereDev hate community.

The most direct way to do this would be to release a series of videos systematically debunking every false narrative, disproving every untrue accusation, and establishing that the Anti-YandereDev hate community mischaracterized me by spreading misinformation.

This will most likely have the side-effect of leading to a second wave of Anti-YandereDev drama videos desperately attempting to keep the debunked narratives alive. In anticipation of this, it will very be important to establish that clickbait drama YouTubers have no credibility; they are entertainers who sell amusing narratives, and are not valid sources of information.

The Anti-YandereDev community will not be swayed by anything I have to say in my defenses. Their favorite recreational activities require them to continue believing that I am an evil villain, and so they will refuse to let go of those beliefs, even if I systematically debunk every one of their narratives. There is no point in speaking to a brick wall, so my videos will obviously not be aimed at them. Any video that I create in my defense will be aimed at the neutral people sitting on the fence about the matter, not at brainwashed people whose minds cannot be changed.

From here, there are two outcomes:

  • YandereDev manages to restore the damage that was done to his reputation; the size and health of the Yandere Simulator fanbase are restored to December 2019 levels.
  • It is proven to be impossible to undo the damage that was done by clickbait drama YouTubers who mischaracterized YandereDev with false information. People simply prefer to believe in entertaining fictions that permit them to ridicule and harass without feeling guilt.
Depending on which timeline we're in, the next thing that happens is either...

  • Crowdfunding campaign (Game's development speed will increase)
  • Abandon idea of crowdfunding campaign, search for a company willing to finance Yandere Simulator's development (at this point in time, there are already two interested parties) (Game's development speed will be determined by the company, not by me.)
  • Continue to develop Yandere Simulator as a volunteer-based project with no budget (Game's development speed will remain as it is)
After all that is sorted out...then Amai's development begins.

Okay. I think I've done it right. I'm an idiot newfag so don't cut me any slack if I did a dumb. We do know from the email leak 505 Games took some kind of interest in the game, but I don't know of any other. Even if these companies extended a helping hand, he'd probably just slap it away like he did Tinybuild the instant someone tells him to remove panty shots or easter eggs. Even worse, what if they efficiently start coding and he can't read it anymore- Oh wait. Deja Vu.

Alex is just kissing his own ass again. Reasonable people don't see him as an evil mastermind, they just see him for what he is: a retarded code monkey LARPing as a competent developer.

Alex really can't accept that his awful reputation is no one's fault but his own. There are so many easy ways for Alex to get out of his current situation, many of them have to do with him not being a creepy manchild and finishing the game/ handing it off to someone who will.

Has Alex ever paid anyone who worked for him?

There was this guy who claims to have been paid $300, but there's not really any concrete evidence so take it as you will
(tl;dw: the guy made a bunch of early animations for the game but most of them didn't get in, got paid and eventually cut ties (at which point he was removed from the credits [lol]).)

So Alex's plan, after the Osana release, is to begin a campaign against the Youtubers who have criticized him, attempting to hide the truth and destroy their credibility publicly on the platform, which will inevitably lead to an incredibly spicy retaliation from the people who make it their job to talk about dumb shits on the internet.

And then following that GALAXY BRAINED public relations move, he wants to consider launching a Kickstarter? He thinks publishers will still be interested in associating themselves with his brand and IP after starting a campaign of harassment against his detractors? God forbid those publishers actually release a game, it reviews poorly, and yandev spergs out on the reviewers.

I thought we'd just get Hate and Shame 2, but I was wrong. We're about to get Hate and Shame: The Eastern Front. Its gonna be a bloodbath.
