Because the higher ups aren't fans of cartoons. They don't watch cartoons, they don't like cartoons, they don't even understand cartoons.
The closest they come to comprehending cartoons are "Moving memes that make people buy little branded trinkets that makes us money" - Which is why they greenlight shows about space lesbians in crystal form, or trans 12 year olds or whatever, really. They don't realize how bad the idea is.... because they don't have a clue what you're supposed to make cartoons about. They probably don't even see them as entertainment as much as a brand or a platform.... they got their positions through nepotism and having degrees in barely-related fields. They never studied animation or art, and couldn't pick Foghorn Leghorn or Bullwinkle out of a police lineup, but they got a business degree with a minor in feminist theory! They only think that if it's "hip" and "what the kids are doing" that they can just fire up the money printer..... BLM's cool! Right? I saw the hashtag all over my little daughter's phone today, so it must be, go with that!
And if they're wrong? They can be sweet-talked into accepting the loss in the name of "diversity and inclusion" . And the wretched studio full of dangerhairs get another crack at it, having learned nothing, as they make cartoons for people who don't watch the show at the behest of "Cartoon" executives who don't even know who Tex Avery was. These shows aren't cartoons, they're bad fanfiction and clumsy propaganda that fail to even be funny once.
Shows by people who don't watch for people who don't watch.
That's how we ended up here.

i mean, if they want to draw hairy women, whatever. women have naturally hairy legs and armpits, it's normal. but do women have hairy ass hands that look like a caveman's?? no. do women have hairy ass arms and thighs?? also no. they also don't have goddamn happytrails either, which is a disturbing art trend i've seen with the sjw nsfw artists who like to give women the same body hair patterns as men. because sexual dimorphism is BAD and we can't acknowledge that men and women have different hormones!!

Just checked it out and holy shit, the last one with Nico is downright horrifying.
At least it's hopeful that a lot of people are calling her out for being a disgustingly fat muslim or for editing other people's art. There might be hope in this world after all,

think about it, usually sjw artists focus on one fandom to obsess over at a time, like bnha, or persona, fire emblem, etc. this person is drawing characters from random series and picking the most popular ones to redraw, because they know the fandom waifus will get the most attention. nico, tsuyu, ururaka, theyre all popular characters and they know that their fans will get pissed when they see them drawn ugly.
also everything about their bio and stuff is very obviously troll bait. feminists on twitter usually dont describe themselves as "proud feminists!!" and they dont put "feminism" under their interests because thats already a given.

I've sifted through a good part of her twitter history, and the more i read the more convinced i am she's not a troll. She might be legit.
At first it might look that she is just in for getting anal anguish from thirsty anime fans, but she's only not for that. Other artists calle her out on her bullshit and shitty drawings almost constantly and she openly stated that she traces pictures almost every single time.
She also doesn't like to being spammed anime tiddies and she's against pedos, as well as sharing asinine lefty memes and openly hates Shen for not being a ragelord against anyone that disagrees with him. If it's a troll, it's a very good acted one. But i doubt someone puts this enormous effort and strain on their sanity just for this.

An interesting tweet I saw that can be applied to a lot of things discussed here outside of fat characters:
Now I think these paintings are cute. They're idealized pinups, but she's obviously fat, and the artist depicts it as an attractive feature. These contrast a lot to what SJW art tends to be, however.
Whenever someone makes a social justice flavored drawing of a fat person, they always throw in all the imperfect, unpleasant details, the stretchmarks, the cellulite, the uneven lumps, and they don't do anything to make them look ideal. If anything, they look no different than when someone that thinks fat people are gross draws an ugly fat bastard that the viewer is supposed to be repulsed by. I've even seen posts go around saying that drawing fat characters in a vein similar to Hilda isn't inclusive enough and is "too perfect" so irl fat people can't relate and project themselves onto it.
Basically the gist of this art sperging is a conclusion that's been stated over and over in this thread, in regards to fat characters, racial features, etc, these people drawing these things depict them as purposely ugly and unappealing and not in any way like they believe what they're drawing looks attractive or beautiful. Idealization is a major aspect of drawing art of characters you think are attractive, and it seems like a lot of these types aim to do the exact opposite.

The more I try to understand how SJWs think, the more I'm convinced it all boils down to their philosophy stating that reality is, somehow, both immutable and subjective.
Under that ideological lens, it kind of makes sense. They can't change what fat people are. Fat people are fat and unless they somehow lose weight they'll always be fat. But they think that if they can change the perception people have of fat people, fat people won't be fat anymore. They'll be "normal". "And everybody likes normal, right? Right?" It kind of makes sense on an entirely theoretical level if you completely fail to consider reality or the fact that most people have functioning eyeballs and a natural tendency to apply adjectives to things around them.
It works for other subjects, too. "Trans women are real women!", for example. Or them trying to whitewash (get it?) any negative characteristic of the minority they decided to latch on for clout this week.

It's like that galaxyprincet tumblr troll who spent years acting like an extreme tumblrite caricature for basically no reason. They would eventually come to the farms to admit it was all a ruse and then officially posted about it on their tumblr (and then try to backtrack with a LOL i was hacked guys for some reason)
