They've turned them into shields against batons as well as weapons.

They're still being very very careful about the optics. With the way the skaeboards are, if someone gets fucked up, the press can scream "He was just a skater!" and nobody is going to see the fact that the skateboard was weaponized. Plus, as we've seen, they flip them around, grab one end, and smash the chuck and wheels into people's heads.

Skateboards can damage people beyond belief just by riding them, they are meant to be slammed onto hundreds of times, a clean swing of a deck/trucks to the head can leave severe damage equivalent to a baseball bat.

Police in Kenosha aren't showing up to active looting and break ins. They're only being dispatched after everyone clears out. They're just now sending people to a tobacco shop that they've known was getting ransacked for the last 20 minutes.

They're doing some secret squirrel shit. One cop just bitched at another for giving out her location. She asked, "Oh, are you still on that special operation?" The officer said yea. Not really sure what that means. They're not exactly arresting anyone, so my guess is they're guarding some politician's house. That's what happens in Seattle, anyways.

Edit- It's starting to make sense why they go through and bust out glass in all the buildings they don't loot. The cops are busy as fuck, and silent alarms are constantly interrupting them while they're trying to work. It's not a bad tactic for clogging up police response because they have to send a unit to check most of them out.

Unsurprising to me. Boston PD stood by and watched as protestors looted local liquor stores, Walgreens, a Tobacco shop, etc. They only moved after the crowd had moved away.
