Toxic Masculinity is one of those things that show how people take an idea and go too far with it.

Are their masculine behaviors I'd consider toxic? Yeah. Alot of hazing activities go too far, and there is showing off and abuse that can result from trying to act manly. If masculinity is not balanced out with good morals, it can lead to some bad things. (BTW, the same is true of femininity, as women can be flipping monsters if left unchecked, but that never gets brought up)

But these numb nuts that pushed the whole "Toxic Masculinity" thing have pushed it to basically account for literally anything that is even remotely masculine. Tough guys, even noble tough guys, are seen as toxic now.

When Thundercats Roar came out (has that been cancelled yet?), I got into a debate with someone that said that version of TCats was needed because the original was so toxic. When I asked "How so?", it turned into a talk about Lion-O having to learn to be a fighter and so tough, and how everybody had to have perfect bodies. Its insane. Forget the fact that there is nothing inherently toxic about any of that, or that the show constantly pushed values such as Truth, Justice, Honor, and Loyalty...nope! It was toxic, so it needed deconstructing.

Unreal.

I genuinely hope this entire toxic thing gets dumped eventually. It sounds closer to scientific sexism.

I also somewhat hope that idiot was just trolling you (unlikely), because I don't see being exactly like the characters in TCR as anything but autistic, sleazy and lame. When Steven Universe Future was airing and Steven was acting like just about any fuckstick teenager even in normal life, I saw some tumblr tard unironically suggest "toxic masculinity" as the reason he was lashing out. Problem is, the kid grew up with literally one male role model that was the sweetest character on the show, while the rest of his mentors were female (or "female presenting", because alien space rocks) with varying degrees of toxic personalities.

And yet there are still simps who deny the term has been taken too far to the point where it doen't mean what it originally meant & is now just a snarl word to attack masculinity such as Suris The "Skeptic" whom i've talked about already in the breadtube thread. He's done so at least two times (in all fairness, he does admit in the second one that SOME people take it too far, though really at this point, the entire SocJus crowd uses it to attack masculinity). I'm also gonna call hypocrisy on the "men don't have to be masculine" sentiment expressed by those who sperg about Toxic Masculinity, because they're usually scratch that, ALMOST ALWAYS the same people who insist that a guy who doesn't act masculine is trans or nonbinary or one of the billions of tumblr genders. Also, you're right about Toxic Femininity not being addressed nearly as enough even though it's just as much of a problem (for a while, I didn't think it was even a thing).

Well if the show's fans are really that devoted, they'll be more than happy to part with their hard-earned cash (assuming most of these people have jobs) to see it come to fruition. She could also try the Anita Sarkeesian way. Whine about sexist chuds harassing her to gain sympathy from simple minded cucks who'll cough up the necessary dough through Paetron. I can’t decide what’s more amusing: that Noelle seems to have absolutely no clue why her relationship writing is met with mixed reactions at best and just keeps pouring gasoline on the fire, that SPOP fans are acting like a both a show and Noelle personally assaulted them rather than just conclude Noelle’s a crappy writer, or that some people hate a Scorpion lady and a cat lady getting it on not because the cat girl was an unlike able asshole but because they want the cat girl to still be "pure" for She-ra.
