KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23.

The shooting happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers were called for a "domestic incident."

According to police, officers provided immediate aid to the person. They were transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee for treatment. The person is in serious condition.

A large crowd gathered near the scene following the shooting.

Kenosha Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol were requested immediately so that the scene could be turned over to an agency other than Kenosha police.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) will handle the investigation.

I have not seen it yet, but apparently there is a full video of the incident that shows him brawling with the cops. They hit him with a taser to no effect. The major difference between this and the prior incident is they only had two officers and no K9 Officer Dozer to bite his balls off again.

Here's something that nobody ever thinks through. How many officers does it take to subdue a violently fighting and combative adult male? As a general rule it is a minimum of three to do it safely to all involved. Just two and everybody is getting injured and the officers will have a high probability of losing control of the situation. Look at the video of the Rayshard Brooks shooting at the Atlanta Burger King. You can see how easily 1 drugged up loony can toss 2 cops around.

People basically have been warped by Hollywood to think that any time a cop can hit a suspect with their taser it's night, night for the suspect but this is far from true; same with stuff like pepper spray there are actually people out there that are immune to the effects of pepper spray and sometimes they happen to be bad guys. If you're jacked up on adrenaline your body can keep going even when you've got a broken bone or you're suffering from burns so shaking off a hit from a taser would be nothing.

The man in this story was high on PCP and it took 45 rounds from 7 cops to bring him down, a taser would've done jack shit to him while he was calmly shooting at the cops. This shooting was ruled as justified and had dashcam footage to back it up.

Unfortunately there's going to be no bodycam footage since the Kenosha PD dragged their feet on adopting them for too long and just seems wholly unprepared to address a critical incident like this in general, let alone one that's attracted this much attention. There might be additional dashcam footage or witness footage that didn't quite fit the narrative but for the most part what we see is the most perspective we're going to get. We know that they did try to physically subdue him first and then tase him and clearly failed at both.

Wasn't the cop car parked behind the vehicle? Some of the action is going to be obscured, and nogs are going to use that gap to rationalize their Dindu claims.

It's embarrassing that multiple cops can't wrangle a nig, but it's understandable because it can be difficult to physically control people and they don't have the training.

Here's a reform that would make sense: Comprehensive restraint training, like what they use in the crazy house combined with submission holds and strikes. Include regular classes and yearly evaluations. With the relatively low quality of today's police (and all the women and fats) it'd be an uphill battle to get them all trained in wrasslin', but it'd be better than nothing. Frankly a hip toss followed by a good choke is a more effective way to stop a combative person than a taser or mace, both of which cause momentary confusion and dysfunction but don't actually control or restrain anybody.

While it's absolutely impossible in today's America, the fastest and easiest stopgap would be to bring back batons/saps. If they're really serious about keeping the cops from shooting joggers and other crazies, then have them escalate right from verbal command to beating you around the head and body if you fail to comply. Obviously at range it'd still be guns, but if you're actually trying to subdue a violent criminal why should you have to wrestle him? A few blows to the head and legs will lay low the surliest Africa-adjacent individual. You could potentially kill someone with a baton, but if it's baton vs. getting shot it's pretty obvious what's less lethal (also when you or the cops shoot it's very likely to kill or maim, since the way the law is written it encourages dumping a mag into someone as fast as possible to stop the threat).

The problem is that cops will tell you to avoid striking the head and ribs, when using a baton, or similar object (bat, pool cue, whatever), in self defense, and it's explicitly because of the risk of killing someone because of a fractured skull, broken ribs puncturing internal organs, or an uncontrolled fall causing cranial trauma, due to you knocking a fucker out. His fiancee, his babby mama, and his three kee-yids were all at the babby mama's house on the occasion of his 8-year-old's birthday when a fight broke out between 2 females. Our man Jacob tried to break up the fight, but someone called the cops. Jacob was preparing to leave with his three kids when the cops arrived.
