Jacob Blake's mom apologizes to President Trump for missing his call

Jacob Blake's mother Julia Jackson, who was accompanied by the family's attorney Ben Crump on a Skype call with CNN, offered an apology to offer the president.

Blake's Mothers has called for people to just knock it the fuck off with looting and rioting, said she is praying for all involved including Police Officers, and apologised in the media for missing a call from Trump (sort of understandable, she's got a lot on just now).

Only place covering it in the UK as far as I can tell is the Daily Mail. Well. As loathesome as I find her Son and his actions, I can at least respect her fro sticking her neck out like this, especially seeing as how she faces backlash from a load of buttmad, white college kids who'll be pissed she's not playing the role they assign to her.

That takes balls, and I can sort of respect that.

We can't really know what sort of life she has had or how hard it has been for her. She looks like she's in her forties to me. He's 29. Quite probably had him as a teenager and given his rap sheet I'd be shocked if he hasn't caused her a tonne of worry and heart-ache over the years. But she's his mother - of course she's upset and angry about him being shot seven times. She honestly sounds like a good person from her statement. I hope it doesn't cause her to lose support from people who claim to care about "Black lives" but I fear it might.

For the record, and judging by the footage, I do believe it was self defence, and honestly good for the kid. He did well, and has more balls than most people.
But I just can’t get over how dorky and adorable his pictures are.

I... still don't think that looks like the same guy. I could be wrong, the lower on in particular he looks a bit closer, but the lower jaw, different optics on the gun, and what looks like a different nose make me think its just two guys who look sorta similar.

Damn, reading through her statements, it seems like the parents are at least good people. Very Christian, and the message to come together regardless of race is really what people need to hear. Either that or they're really scared of the media shitstorm revealing their son's long rap sheet and the public ire it'll draw to their family. Either way, I can respect that they just didn't shut up and take the money.

Compare that to Floyd's family, who went along with the media circus and painted him as a "gentle giant" mercilessly slaughtered by the cops when he was a violent felon that OD'd on fent. I can respect the Blake's more than these grifters.

I agree. She sounds like the kind of Grandmother children should have in their lives and as sickening as all of this while shitshow this year is, I will pray for her and her family, and that they all find peace and strength, in themselves and one another, and in their community.


I've a friend who lives in New Orleans, and she has more than once said, she believes that the biggest tragedy is the cracking of the traditional black family, with disciplinarian Mothers and Grandmothers especially, although we all know male family members are important too. But I'm inclined to agree with her.

I agree. In no way are they painting him as a good, innocent boy. it seems like they know full well what he was, but are trying to use their platform to put a stop to the carnage. So at least some good is coming out of it. Good for them.

All it takes is one guy with an idea, see any of /pol/'s projects in the last four years. It's not going to be as simple as they all show up with a uniform tomorrow night, it will be a mimetic spread, possibly of multiple different uniform ideas (vests, hats, etc) until it manages to reach ubiquity, at which point any kind of attempt to infiltrate will simply be lost in the noise.
