There's a great story about Robert A. Heinlein and how he proofread a bunch of stories written by student authors and every single one of them had the same retarded political beliefs. One story ended with the protagonist and company escaping because they put a badge with a "D" on their clothes and said they were Democrats and the bad guys just let them get away because the bad guys knew that they were good people who help the poor, while everyone else who didn't do that died.

I think Harlan Ellison also recapped the same story in one of monologues and explained why schools enforce shit writing.

Agreed. When Orange is the New Black aired, people used to gush about it so much even though its TV portrayal of prison life is far different than the real thing. Here the NBA and its Players Association work hard at trying to finish the season after the COVID outbreak only to have a handful of players and a couple of teams wanting to walk away with games still remaining for them. It will be very interesting to see what the Packers do. So far, they only released a statement about police brutality. You see, Wisconsin is a sea of white redneck raging alcoholics surrounding Mordor (Milwaukee) and Isengard (the leftist traitors in Madison). If the Packers walk off the field to support BLM, cheeseheads will go FUCKING BALLISTIC, and that 60+ year waiting list for season tickets will get a lot shorter.

The press release you posted, @Shroom King appears to be the Packers trying to stay on the fence. They're acknowledging current goings-on while realizing that totally embracing the BLM/SocJus movement would alienate the most die-hard Cheeseheads. As you said, what else the Packers might do wil be curious to see.

I get the feeling you could literally pick a dozen or so people from these protests at any given night and the majority would have some history with law enforcement, it's surreal.

This has to be why they're so big on defunding police and wanting prisons abolished -- they're so butthurt by having a criminal record and serving prison time that this is their way to try to rebel against the system that branded them convicted criminals.

It happened after the '68 race riots. The tax base left and that combined with the economic downturn of the 70s, and the rise of street drugs turned many American cities into the violent crime ridden hellholes you see in shitty 70s and 80s B movies.

Detroit was less than 25% nigger at the time of the riots.

Detroit was hurt by a double whammy within 2-3 years. The 1968 Riot opened the floodgates of White flight. In either 1970 or 71, state voters passed a Blaine Amendment imposing a statewide ban on state education money going to private/parochial schools. Scores of those schools within the city either merged with each other or closed altogether because they simply couldn't function without that money and the needed tuition hikes to remain open would be too steep for many families to afford. This put more students in the public school system where they learned quickly that the educational quality was lower and that it tended to be more indoctrinated and dumbed down.

The advent of charter schools 20-plus years later also didn't help. Being tuition-free, many families that sent their kids to private and parochial schools switched their kids to charter schools instead even though charter school education may or may not be any better than the public schools. As it stands now, Detroit is down to four Catholic K-8 schools within its city limits, one all-boys academy with grades 7 & 8, and three high schools (two of which are all-boys). Some former parochial schools that closed due to declining enrollment would be sought out by, and reopen as, charter schools. With fewer private school options in the city, families wanting a private education often look at private schools in the suburbs and they may even move out of the city when they can in order to be closer to their kids' schools.

*Edit* We are clearly having a crises in the west where men are becoming pussies because they don't have any sort of real adversity in their lives and I think that's closer to the root of the problem. We have it too easy and we're turning into limp-wristed faggots.

We also have an education system that considers males to be oppressive and treats them as second-class citizens as a way to combat that oppression. It's one thing to encourage more women to get an education and pursue fields such as STEM, but it doesn't have to be done in a way that marginalizes men.

It's all fun and games until the Po-po shows up and starts cracking skulls.

Well dudes, I think I’m starting to get a little Mad On the Internet because I made the mistake of reading my local paper’s story on the Rittenhouse shootings.

For what it' worth, I felt the same way with the sensationalized article in the local paper here. While I can't recall if they labeled him a White Supremacist, they did make it a point to mention he fled across state lines to evade the police. Shit like this is why I've largely given up on most news these days.

The problem is the MSM only plays clips of the shootings and chooses not to show the bigger context of the chasing, object throwing, fake surrender, etc. that lead up to said shootings. The MSM wants to spin this as a crazed/immature/racist teen shooting down peaceful protestors when that's as believable as a three-dollar bill.

I have recent, personal experience with DC police. They can keep VERY large mobs from causing problems. If they can't control it, it means they're standing down.

It's kind of pathetic. The confrontations back in June had National Park police and I think DC metro cops, backed up by NG when Trump did the St John's photo op. They did much better then. I wonder if this is a group that wasn't around then.
