Team Obama, activate!

Left-wing Hollywood stars are rallying around Barack Obama as evidence mounts that the former president was involved in the failed take down Gen. Michael Flynn as well as a larger clandestine effort to derail the Trump presidency. President Donald Trump has repeatedly tweeted about a massive “Obamagate” scandal, saying that Obama and Joe Biden led the “most corrupt administration in U.S. history.”

“It was OBAMAGATE, and he and Sleepy Joe led the charge. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history!” the president tweeted on Monday.

Over the weekend, leaked audio footage emerged of Obama slamming Trump. The former president claimed that the Justice Department’s decision to abandon its prosecution of Flynn means that the “basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.” He also slammed President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Loyal left-wing Hollywood celebrities have begun circling the wagons around Obama, playing defense as the #Obamagate hashtag trended on Twitter on Monday. Prominent entertainment figures including Ava DuVernay, Barbra Streisand, Patricia Arquette, and Jeffrey Wright have leapt to the former president’s aid, eager to downplay the gravity of the brewing scandal.

Could this famous thing be upon us in the near future?

I gotta ask... did he really die of cancer? Joe Paterno suddenly died of lung cancer just days after getting fired from Penn State when their pedo scandal blew up. Neither of them showed signs of such a serious health problem. Maybe he was skinnier lately but colon cancer is a serious killer, could he really have pulled off the Black Panther performance while he was in treatment for it?

The timing of this seems suspect. Can't help but wonder if he was expected to make some public statement about the riots or the election and someone wanted to shut him up.

Retard. Yeah like ppl just hit the expire button when they are done

I hate to break it to you, but life isn't fair. You can win the lottery and the next day die from an anyerusim because you popped it straining too hard taking a shit. Some people die young. Some people have it coded in their genes to be more susceptible to certain cancers, so it amplifies the chance of getting cancer. By the way, you can eat right, exercise, detox your body, live in the country, never smoke and you can still get lung cancer because your genes tell you to.

I'll tell you the secret of why some people can eat carbonized bacon, smoke cigars, chug bottles of whiskey, eat fast food and die at 95 with no cancer to Chadwick Boseman who probably kept healthy and got cancer anyway: Luck. Luck is the biggest factor in getting cancer. Lucky to not get it. Lucky to notice it in time. Lucky the treatment works.

Our bodies are terribly designed pieces of shit, Frankenstein creations from millions of years of evolution. Eventually, all of us have to face our own mortality. How frail our bodies are. How brilliant people can be struck down at a young age and terrible assholes live forever. There's a reason the gnostics thought this world was hell, lead by a blind, mad God. Because the rules written in it aren't even the least bit fair.

I'm aware, what seems strange to me is the suddenness, with both him and Paterno. The article says he was in treatment for four years, how did he play Black Panther during that time? My understanding of colon cancer is that it's aggressive and you have to nuke it with chemo and surgery if you want any chance, no way could he do a demanding physical movie performance while dealing with that.

Paterno was old but no news source ever mentioned him having cancer, he gave an interview in his house a few days before dying where he seemed normal.

RIP. I know some people get angry when people get sad when a celebrity passes away, but of course its going to hurt when someone who helped create something that gave you hapiness or inspired you passes away. I never saw any of his movies, but its always sad when someone that young passes away from cancer. I remember when Adam West passed away. I felt really sad, I loved the Camp Crusader, and that DC was finally giving him his dues, of course, Adam West was really old, but it always hurt.

What little issues I did have with him when he talks about left wing politics like most of the hollywood clowns do means little to the respect that I have towards him and his skills combined with the fact that he did all of this while he had cancer, never making a fuss about it. That's some Raul Julia levels of dedication right there.

He was 43? Wow. Totally had me fooled. Cancer sucks. Sorry for his passing.
From the pictures one would see of him, he looked rather young for his age since he looked like he'd be early thirties. That said, much as I never saw any of his films, RIP to him since it's horrible to die to cancer.

I wonder how much the mouse knew about this one. It was already too late to recast him due to appearing in Civil War, but he wouldn't be so hyped if the producers knew he is going to kick the bucket.
Anyways, looking forward for a cynical use of his death by politicians and celebrities, because Superhero films with few individuals imposing the morality on everyone else is very much the culture of the left.

I care little for The Black Panther or the MCU, but this is actually rather unfortunate. No matter how distant you are from something its still shocking to see someone just get their legs cut out from under them like that. For the record though despite being bored throughout it I thought he was the best part of the movie. He seemed to actually give a shit about his performance and take it seriously,. I suppose we know why now.
