They can hate the pedo, but at the end of the day, Kyle shot what was a human being. A disgusting, irredeemable, subhuman pile of trash, but he was still an American and thus by virtue has the same legal rights as everyone else. Personally, I think the pedo should've been executed when convicted and it was the justice system's failure.

That said, we can't encourage vigilante justice. The mob was ready to kill Kyle as "street justice". All they knew is this guy with a gun shot someone, so wouldn't they be justified in killing him?

That's a great point, I never thought of it that way. I don't know how that will hold up in court, but I'm now convinced Kyle was defending his life, not just his well-being.



On a completely seperate note, one thing that many people leave out which is pretty damning, is the guy who got his arm shot off. After hitting Kyle he put his hands up, obviously as a sign of surrender. Kyle kept the gun drawn on him but didn't fire, and the guy charged him while producing something (dunno if it's a gun or a phone), shortly before getting his arm shot. That and his friend's Facebook statement about the guy's intent will kill his case.

None of my anti-Kyle people bring it up, but still count the guy as a blameless victim gunned down for his opposition to systemic racism.
