No, DePass and Katherine Cross (the troon) still interacted with Jake for a while after that. Jake even got another con appearance out of his association with Cross a year later (2016 was GaymerX, where he was photographed on the panel with Cross and DePass, then he did Gen Con in 2017).

DePass dropped Jake after he snapped and went full Zoe Post (the second one I think, their last interactions were in October 2017), and Cross dropped him after his Riot twitter thread (the one that got him called out by the Game Workers Union account).

When in doubt, if Jake is talking about a mysterious detractor like this, it's probably Zoe, because it still all comes back to Zoe.

Athena Hollow dropped contact with him after Gen Con and he called her out by name over it, but she doesn't really fit the other criteria.

Thanks to some diligent work by @Gunt.Inc we've got some new material here: the Youtube auto-subs for 20 of Jake's Twitch streams.

I've formatted these up into something almost human-readable, with timestamps so you can refer back to the original video. As usual, I have it in tab-separated format for Excel aficionados.
The subs won't tell you who's talking, so my recommended approach is to just search these for interesting words, then refer back to the video to get the context. Jake (or whoever) seems to read the games' dialogue out loud, so be aware of false positives.

I haven't turned up anything interesting yet, but maybe some of you will. Good luck *yawn*

It occurred to me that I didn't recall the timeline on this too clearly, so I went and took a refresher. Holy shit, this is funny.

The last twitter interaction from @athenahollow to @secretgamergrrl is in July 2017. The next month is when Jake went to Gen Con on the Katherine Cross diversity short bus and, as I understand it, crashed at Athena's place for the duration of the convention.

After the con was over, despite getting no acknowledgement whatsoever, Jake continued to relentlessly Timmy at her for very nearly another YEAR. Dozens of tweets, no likes, no replies. He didn't stop until July 2018.

Pure speculation on my part, but I suspect at that point he made a direct approach to try and bum lodgings for the convention again, and was told either personally or through an intermediary that she wasn't going to be steam cleaning gnome grease out of her couch a second time.

He has specifically mentioned having to pay for accommodation because he could no longer crash where he had previously.

Does he ever shut up? Looking through the incessant amount of twitter threads trailing on for WORDS WORDS WORDS parallels that of the Time Cube. How does one become this way, from young age? By twitter allowing and validating their fuckery? Boggles my mind. At this point if someone archived all the tweets I'm sure some machine learning algorithm could pump out text for random Jake twitter threads and post it here and no one would be none the wiser.

Jake really doesn't seem to care much about engagement. Most of his tweets get no response at all. He seems to think that typing his thoughts and sending them out into the ether is somehow important, even if no-one acknowledges them.

You know, I've gotta call bullshit on his "We play 10-40 hours a week FOR TEN YEARS! ALL WOMEN! TAKE THAT EVIL MEN!" bullshit.

Just playing 10-40 hours a week is a MASSIVE cost for the GM. We know there's nothing in the attic or his current apartment to allow it, and I can't see an endless parade of troons through Gnome-Matron's house to the Gnome-Lair.

And his "Oh, it was all girlzzz, guys, for realz!" is bullshit, since his "girls" are probably a bunch of troons anyway.

AND if he really gamed that much, he'd have a much better grasp of the mechanics of the game and a FUCKLOAD more of homebrew stuff he could slap into a PDF and charge on Drive-Thru RPG.

He's full of shit. I'm calling it right now.

And I'm someone who has been using the same setting since 1983, just upgraded and changed for whatever ruleset I'm using.

I still call bullshit on the same group for 10 years with someone like Jake DM'ing.

I can't see him spending the time to invest 10-40 hours a week investing in someone else, even if it's fellow players, especially not if it's a GM.

I'm sorry. As an experience GM, both IRL and online, I call bullshit on his "10 years same group all women" and "10-40 hours a week" statements.

For one, as someone who has had to deal with multiple women in the same group, there's no fucking way there hasn't been a female related chimpout in 10 years.

Would it be possible to scrape his tweets and put it into a sort of markov chain generator for Instant Jake?

He does it online.
Unless he frenetically tweets about the Nazis under his bed while he's gaming, I think the raw numbers just make that impossible. I haven't specifically crunched these numbers, but I don't think there's ever been a week since 2014 where Jake spent 10-40 hours neither tweeting nor sleeping. Minus the occasional suicide bait, of course.

EDIT: actually, that's not quite true. When he streams with "Hazel" he'll easily eat up 5-8 hours at a time, sometimes multiple times a week. But of course, he's not tabletop gaming then either.

And DMing a game is a lot of work online.

  • You have messages between you and players about future choices, downtime projects, questions for clarification about things, questions about the world and the major NPC's.
  • Prepping the NPC's and putting them into your game system virtual tabletop of choice.
  • Mapping, with dynamic lighting, music, placed NPC's, placed traps, multi-layer stuff.
  • Balancing the next week's encounters out and placing them into the system

I've got a half dozen messages just from last week's game asking about TastYum Strawberry Preserves and what the market value could be, where could they put up a small alchemy lab to make them, how hard is it to get canning wax and glass jars, is there any kind of vacuum system or is it just the jam only lasts a few months, how hard will it be to smuggle in sugar past the guards to avoid taxes and bribes.

There's no fucking way Jake's doing all of that and sperging on Twitter so much at the same time.

It isn't even typing speed. Some of that shit is time consuming for anything worthwhile. Mapping especially takes time.

I'm calling fucking bullshit! He's full of fucking shit he spends that much time.

Source of Expertise: DMing since 1983, online gaming since the early days of IRC and AOL, putting stuff 'online' on phone in BBS's as early as 86.
