For health workers, the pandemic Tour de France is a big ask

Excerpt (full text at link):

Boo hoo. When have healthcare workers ever been paid as much as professional athletes? They've let this hero thing go to their heads, isn't dealing with diseases and viruses part of the job description?
Not to mention professional athletes only have a 5-10 year window to make the money. Health care workers can work up to fifty years. And choosing to be an athlete has a high fiscal risk, health care fields are the exact opposite. If they don't want to work with people, they should learn to code. Use boomer logic on boomers.

so germans are on the street again.
alot of them, from every walk of life.

The british are protesting as well, apparently.
I suggest these two groups network with each other (if they haven't already) and network with others like them (again, if that hasn't happened already).

So I'm not allowed to go into any store in my entire state without a mask, I'm not allowed to throw a party with more than 10 people involved, I'm not allowed to go to the beach or visit a friend in the hospital, but these block parties are perfectly acceptable and the media won't make a single peep about it.

The public's patience with this shit has a limit, and there's not much room left on the board.

I have been trying to switch stores to avoid mandatory mask policies, but now these policies are spreading so rapidly that I have to switch stores every other week. 2 weeks ago I decided to stop shopping at Wal-Mart after all stores in Canada made masks mandatory, only to have the store I switched to now adopt mandatory masks as well. Except that the staff who actually have to enforce these policies seem utterly uninterested, and I've been able to get in without masks either due to zero enforcement or simply ignoring security at the entrance. There are still a few stores left that aren't mandating masks, though by next weekend they probably will be as well. Even still, it's utterly baffling how the hysteria can spread so rapidly. There's hardly any Coronavirus in my province, and the few dozen new cases every now and then are always confined or linked to seniors homes or hospitals or places like that. Yet nearly everyone in public places seems to willingly go along with it.

Just like the "Important" people who come to New York for the Video Music Awards won't have to do the 14 day Quarentine that us Little people who travel to the city have to do.

NYC is one of in not the most heavily infected region in the US, and has the worst outcomes. They shouldn't quarantine people who come into the city. They should be quarantined when they leave the city. Compare it to any other state, even the shithole Democratic states where they tried to wipe out their nursing home residents, NYC's numbers are just awful. Their CFR is 8-10%, much higher than the national 3.1%.

Not the point.

Back to Anchorage AK news our dear Mayor starting Sep 1 has outlawed loud music and dancing. No I am not having a fever dream where I'm stuck in the movie Foot Loose. Yes, the fun police are on patrol citizens!

edit: IT's Emergency Order 14 part 2 to replace the expiring EO 15. If anyone wants the details for all of the other shit in that order.

Right, because Alaska is famous for its abundant dance clubs and night life scene.

A bit curious, is there some kind of secret bet going on between politicians to see who becomes the most despised?

Hey Burgers - CDC put this out yesterday.

Only 6% of WuFlu deaths actually died from Covid. The rest had an average of 2+ co-morbidities or were of an advanced age.

They have a chart showing number of deaths above average. Made for some interesting reading.

How many of those red plus signs could be explained by drug overdoses and suicides by people who just lost their business?

There's of angry screeching from all types if this is true. We might even see people suddenly heel turn from "TRUST DA NUMBAHS" to "THE CDC IS ANOTHER TRUMP AGENCY IGNORE ALL INFO FROM THEM REEEEEEEEE"

That's not surprising, but comorbidity doesn't necessarily mean COVID didn't kill them.

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely on the "this is only marginally worse than the seasonal flu" boat and I absolutely believe that the death toll is vastly overestimated due to admissions by public health officials and doctors that they were adding 1) untested deaths and 2) counting died with as died from; but I don't feel its accurate to assume that the comorbidity was the killer in 100% of all (comorbidity) + COVID cases.

EDIT: She's a Q-Tard.
A hot Q-Tard, but a Q-Tard nonetheless...

I see both already depending on the day and whether the numbers being reported are good/bad
