My dad somehow survived a pancreatic cancer related to Agent Orange only to die of a totally unrelated Aortic aneurysm years later. I think Jim will be able to fend off lazy lymphoma for quite some time.

Why did you say that? Most of it was earlier in the year when we really didn't have a good idea what this thing is. We now know that the videos of people speaking in tongues on the streets in China couldn't have been directly related to the coof, but who was sure of that back in the spring?

I don't think people hate him for taking money per se, it has more to do with the years he railed against such behavior and made fun of those who sold merch. I'm sure he has his reasons but it is highly hypocritical, and is frowned upon with good cause.

I remember him mentioning a vague health issue that could prevent him from continuing to produce content a couple years back on Patreon, but I never knew he lnamed the disease.
I always assumed cancer AIDS was a nickname given to his disease as a hyperbolic joke, but I guess it literally was the disease more or less.

Genuinely sad news to hear. Jim has always been, to me, the essence of shitposting, distilled and embodied in one guy laughing at the internet's retardation. He's almost elemental in that he only cares about pointing and laughing at ridiculous people who take themselves too seriously... and nothing else.
