Wait a minute, I thought it was only property and the insurance will pay for everything.

Oh, really? That's an interesting take on the situation. Let's find out the cause of the high price.

Well look at that. I'm willing to bet that someone like Andrea Jenkins probably supports regulations and environmental policies that cause those prices to skyrocket. Let's see who this woman is and what her politics are...

How shocking! A hypocritical troon who blames everything on

That troon was also one of the city council members who “needed” private security after announcing they were disbanding the police. It cost the taxpayers over $150,000 over several weeks.

they did fuck all to call it out
they blamed cops for it all

These people are fucking retarded. The Minneapolis Police released the suicide via surveillance footage on their own Facebook AND sent it to Nekima Levy Armstrong/Pounds and another city council member, Phillip Cunningham (also a troon, what a surprise). The activists then said that the police should not have released the suicide footage because that was supposedly traumatizing too. They want police to be useless. That is the goal.

Who cares at this point honestly? Minneapolis is deep blue; they need to lie in the bed they've made.

They're the ones who voted for crazy, leftist black trannies to lead their government just to feel smug about themselves. You get what you vote for!

The city council is complicated. Lisa Bender, the president, won with only 5,000 votes out of 3+ times the residents in her ward. The troons likely won with fewer votes. There are 400,000 residents in the city. The argument to be made is that more people need to vote in local elections because they matter.

He weighed it against going in and decided it was better "optics" to let the city degrade, as if saving the city wouldn't get him more support among people whose opinion matters and are desperate. Not to mention he has a responsibility to protect people if their local governance is corrupt. I agree he's made a mistake and as an aside happens to look bad.
Have any of you faggots heard of FEDERALISM? The city, county, state, and national governments (in that order) are each sovereign in their areas. I don't want a federal government that steps in when the state and locals say "no"

How shocking! A hypocritical troon who blames everything on capitalism. I've never seen one of those before!

Lmao the city knocked it down and expects a burnt-down business to pay? With what assets? This sort of scenario is at the very least capped at "all the shit you have" via various creditor protection and limited liability laws.

What the fuck is going on in the Minneapolis City Council? This is some shit I'd expect from San Francisco or Portland, before this I'd have assumed the city council was just full of garden variety upper-class liberals. What do they put in the waters of Lake Minnetonka?

He's lucky Biden embraced the Riots, and double lucky Harris embraced them so hard Stephen Colbert started looking uncomfortable.

Federalism stopped existing de facto after the civil war, and only occasionally popped up after that when someone in the Federal Government felt charitable. Taxes, budgets, and etc are de facto so centralized with the Federal Government nowadays that all they have to do is threaten to cut funding for infrastructure to make states comply with new policies.

>then how come Trump has not used that "de facto" power?
Because Trump doesn't have control of the Federal Bureaucracy, and they are the real power in the Federal Government currently. After all, how many times has Trump issued a new executive order or announced a policy on twitter, only for it to be... "forgotten" about or not applied months later when someone checks in on it.

Local governments matter. Do you believe the propaganda now? Getting people to show up for midterms is like pulling teeth.

Just because federalism is fucked doesn't mean that's a good thing.

looking for what BLM will replace cops with and I found this

"The Minneapolis city council unanimously pledged to abolish the city’s police force last month and replace it with a “Department of Community Safety and Violence Prevention.” '

I know calling shit Orwellian is overused but "Department of Community Safety and Violence Prevention"

They go on to say
"In Minneapolis for example, reporters at the Star Tribune found that in 2019 only 56% of homicide cases were solved by police. In 2016, the Minneapolois police cleared only 22% of rape cases."

56% and 22% is greater than 0

He's lucky Biden embraced the Riots, and double lucky Harris embraced them so hard Stephen Colbert started looking uncomfortable.
I've seen Harris speak for about 30 seconds exclusively in those Colbert clips shared on twitter, and they are like 50% of the reason I'm not voting for Biden. What a fucking psycho. "It's just a debate *cackle*", "The riots will go on well after the election *cackle*".

I would trade 100,000 gigantic white faggots for one thomas sowell.

Thomas Sowell was actually pretty lightweight on anything serious. He's kind of the black Jordan Peterson of midwits. YouTube recommends both of those to me a lot, despite me never choosing to watch either.

Edit: just remembered he's still alive.

Anyone get this yet? First mainstream news mention I've seen of Michael Forest Reinoehl, the alleged Portland shooter. Sources have identified him as being under investigation, but no official confirmation yet. A few new details: apparently his sister called the police to report that she recognized him after receiving an anonymous phone call, he's estranged from much of his family, and apparently he's "impulsive and irrational".

aug. 29, 2020, shooting

A 48-year-old man who was accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest is under investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a right-wing demonstrator after a pro-Trump rally.

Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist and has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation and #breonnataylor.
