Scenario 1
Mr. Vickers asks the police how they'd react if she came to her senses and filed a criminal complaint. Faith them comes to her senses and files a criminal complaint.

Scenario 2
Faith threatens to make a complaint unless Ralph else does something.

I mean I'm not a lawyer and don't really understand Virginia law but it seems like Scenario 1 is OK but Scenario 2 looks like blackmail.
