All the usual suspects will still be convinced this guy is a mass shooter, but the self-defence is obvious enough that a significant number of people will think he did nothing wrong. Imagine having "Brenton Tarrant did nothing wrong" as a mainstream conservative talking point! That's how those who fall for the narrative must see it.

Nick Rekieta said his wife almost started crying watching the videos about how scared and traumatized Kyle might be. Also, having seen a lot of videos of people being killed this video is really not at all graphic. Like the Parkland videos were horrifying, but I can watch these really easy and the entire time I was on edge waiting for Kyle to do the bad thing.

I don't recall Kyle making threats throwing tantrums and generally being an obnoxious sperg like Greta while all the Good People applauded her autism being put on global display. I don't think Greta is just an innocent teen autist being manipulated by adults, so fuck her.

I want to hug him and tell him it's going to be all right. That he did nothing wrong and I'm glad he's alive. That he shouldn't worry and no matter what anyone says he did the right thing and none of it was his fault. This is what I feel like doing whenever I see Kyle.
I am an American and it is our God given right to exercise our 2A rights because the Founders knew it would come to this one day. I don't know about the future but those shots were heard around the world.

Honestly, it's his little medical bag that really gets me. He's not all kitted out in LARP gear like the Antifa 'medics' or the equally useless Boogaloo BLM simps, he's just got a basic bitch AR, that bag and some surgical gloves. No helmet, no plates, no spare mags or backup gun. He's on camera at least just trying to help people, he probably was the one least looking for trouble there that night. They're zeroing in on the AR as proof he must've been a clone of Tarrant but without it he'd be just another brief mention in a montage of peaceful riot victims.

The fact that there is still no word from the guy who Kyle did not hit who attacked him makes me wonder, and I am sure this will be a popular opinion given the fellow's ethnicity, that this might have been someone who genuinely 100% thought they were trying to stop a mass shooter. Who then, with stained trousers, when arriving home watched the news unfold over the following days and reacted like the posters here did.
"That guy tried to grab his gun off him first? And the guy's a pedophile?"
"He didn't shoot the guy with his hands up until the guy pulled a gun on him?"
"The only black guy aside from me he pointed a gun at he did not shoot since the guy put his hands up? Fuck me sideways, maybe he was not a Nazi."
They may just be holding off until Kyle loses the case before emerging and laying their own claim but their absence so far could mean they were genuinely sure they were trying to stop a mass murder and, on finding that in fact that's not the case, decided there was no way in hell they were going to try to press charges too.
If that's the case the two of them could probably move racial equality a decade forwards by apologising to each other over a few beers. Drop kick guy for thinking Kyle was a random shooter and Kyle for thinking drop kick guy was one more person trying to kill him. Play their cards right and we could see a Lethal Weapon esque movie about them where the actor playing Kyle's catchphrase is "I'm too young for this shit."

Going of the reactions to my mother and grandmother seeing it, Kyle invokes a heavy maternal instinct of "Oh no, I must help the kid". I doubt its just suburban white woman who have the reaction either, its basically any woman with a shred of maternal instinct. His baby face really does it, just kicks right into gear of "I must protect this innocent child".
The fact he is Saint Kyle, and appears to have done literally nothing wrong in the entire incident only cements that impression.

As far as I'm concerned, gun control as a political issue is dead in America for at least a decade. If even the most soy-filled liberals were buying guns during the height of the coof and were buying even more once the riots kicked off, there's no way it'll be a popular issue unless another Tarrant mows down a black orphanage or something.
