Is anyone else excited about the possibility of Kyle Rittenhouse owning the entire news media within the next 5 years? TYT is flat out calling him a murderer, not even saying “alleged” how the media usually does to weasel their way out of defamation. The Sandman lawyer took this case pro bono because he knows he’s going to make so much fucking money suing all the blue check marks and media for defaming Rittenhouse. They won’t be able to lawyer their way out of defamation per se. Can someone please archive this so we can bankrupt TYT? He literally calls Trump supporters ISIS.
As @LaxerBRO mentioned, they'll claim to be an entertainment site. Even Tim Pool pulls that card every now and again, saying he's "just a commentator" to avoid any kind of theoretical scrutiny. It's far too easy from what I know of to skirt the law by going "teehee not rly news" and it's fine.

Holy shit, they actually might try to recall Tony Evers over the riots and violence in Kenosha!!! I thought this was just someone mad in Kenosha but people are actually getting involved.

I find politics to be messy with the partizan BS but when you turn a healthy city into a warzone you deserve to be booted from office.

As far as I'm concerned, gun control as a political issue is dead in America for at least a decade. If even the most soy-filled liberals were buying guns during the height of the coof and were buying even more once the riots kicked off, there's no way it'll be a popular issue unless another Tarrant mows down a black orphanage or something.
You gotta remember that gun crime has skyrocketed to historic highs this summer in many cities, which is actually a liberal talking point in some circles about why the riots and protests are bad. Police aren't around and blacks and hispanics are shooting up their communities. Biden is also an avowed gun-grabber and has a good chance to win in November. If things calm down, you can expect to see calls for gun control based on the violence caused by the riots. They'll just blame it on the virus and the cops or something.

I dunno if Biden has a good chance at the white house at this point, but that's besides the issue. My take is that guns and ammo are literally flying off the shelves right now, and according to some sources somewhere around 40% of those are new gun owners. That tells me that a lot of people are realizing the importance of having one around. They can certainly try to push gun control after the fires die out, but I don't think it will be popular with the majority.

You do bring up a good point though, they could spin the rise in gun violence with the rise in gun purchases. However I think that can be explained that since cops have been effectively neutered over the past few months it's just criminal scum being more daring to commit crimes and kill each other with impunity. But hey, the media machine is trying to spin the riots as Trumps fault when he's been denouncing it for months, they might be dumb enough to try.

Sorry if this has already been hashed out, but I've heard that Kyle was NOT actually defending his father's business. Can anyone confirm if this was debunked and what his actual reasons for being there are?

Not that they matter as to whether he's guilty of murder or not (he isn't), I just want the facts straight.

I never heard that it was his father's business. I heard that it was a friend's, but later that it was just a local who "put out a request for aid." No details other than that.

I wonder when we'll be going back to normal.
Because these riots start to feel like the new normal. They've been going on since may, that's almost four months. And November is only a good three months away. Do you guys think they'll try to keep whipping up a frenzy until then? A permanent state of civil unrest would be extremely weird tbh.

The real shit of all this is that if you truly wanted to improve race relations in the western world, this probably has set that shit back by decades. When this fucking year started, I was interally moderate as hell who put on the outward appearance (when needed) of being liberal and woke so that I didn't get cancelled, but after all the bullshit they've pulled this year I find myself internally agreeing more and more with the nazi posters here. The left and their chimpouts is gradually radicalizing me to the right, it's almost ironic.

When the chimpouts and protests started, I thought they would have used that as their little hidden way of brushing away all the covid lockdown bullshit, but instead they doubled down on the doublethink and are trying to justify businesses and people not being able to go to the gym or church or work but they're allowed to gather en masse in the downtown and commit as many crimes as they want.

I'm sure I am not the only person who's been pushed all the way to the right by this bullshit.

TLDR:
