That's a big hmmm from me. A commie gun club is crossing state lines and requesting: tools, chainsaws, nails and pressure cookers. What's all this then? What could it mean?
I have done a couple shooting courses with a guy that is / was part of Armed Equality. He is a faggot like me and after class we went to dinner where I picked his brain.
Apparently, the club is run by a troon named Piper Smith. Originally, the group was formed as Pink Pistols San Diego and got popular after the Orlando attack. So here I am thinking, heck yeah I am a NRA certified RSO and I can help out.
I join up and about a month later, their was a schism. Piper weaseled herself into running the Pink Pistols Facebook page and one day changed the password. She claimed it Pink Pistols was too partisan and would not appeal to the wider LGBT community.
So I stay on and train a few people during this transition period. About a month later, Piper changes the name to Armed Equality and starts to outreach.
Initially, it seemed fine and I stayed on their FB page to volunteer my services. But I noticed as time goes on their are less and less training events. So I ask Piper about future trainings.
She said that Armed Equality was now less of a gun group and more of a lgbTROON group. As time goes on, I see good and competent trainers disappear off of the groups page.
Additionally, I see more and more content getting scrubbed or requiring moderation. Then one day I see Piper and her "gun" club doing a little shoot with the Socialist Rifle Association and John Brown Gun club via a Vice (?) article about non traditional gun clubs.
As time goes on I see the leadership change and the moderators shrink from about 16 people to only herself and her besties.
This sets off fucking alarm bells and I go out to instructors I know. The word is that she is a narcissist. One trainer told me that the club received about $3000 for a first aid training event from it's members and the event was cancelled with Piper first claiming a physicallu injured instructor and then that the trainers were transphobic. Same thing with firearms training, his story was she set out to collect money to attend the San Diego Gun Owners event but the amount she set was twice the price for a table. A week later, after he asked Piper where the money went, he is labeled as transphobic and exiled.
I still hook up and shoot with the guy now and again. Apparently, he thinks the group is on thin ice and has burned most of its bridges in Southern California.
Just looking at the group from the inside the FB group...Piper is using it as her own little fan club. She won't allow any TERFs or rightwing LGBT people but will ally herself with Commies and Socialists, probably because they manipulate her. Originally, the guy told me she had a gold and black flag in her car and she was a libertarian. I checked into this and a few people I know in the party down there booted her when they saw her trying to take over.
Anyways, I have said enough. I don't want to get myself or my fuck buddy into trouble.
Edit: All the persona non grata instructors think she pocketed the money and used it to fund part of the transition surgery. Apparently, she got fired from her job because Costco is oppressive.
