While I do think it's pretty disingenuous of Vic to put out a shameless knockoff of funko, it's also pretty ridiculous for anyone to actually think this is an officially licensed product. It incorporates ten of his characters, all of which would involve numerous license holders to give a green light.

Additionally, reviewing the Risembool Rangers page with the Vic figure listing there is no mention 'funko', 'pop', or 'vinyl' anywhere and just refer to it as an 'animation figurine'

I kinda figured it wasn't an official funko pop figure. To be fair, I don't think the rangers/Vic actually claimed it was one. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm simply a little annoyed with his fanclub for hyping up the announcement so much. We thought it could be him announcing a new role or his own studio. Instead, we got a bootleg funko pop figure. Don't get me wrong, the figure is really cute and I'm happy for Vic. But his fanclub has hyped up the "big announcement" for weeks now, they even made this weird poster of Vic standing in front of an explosion with "big announcement" written in the foreground (yes, really, lol) and then it turns out the announcement was for something nice, but not all that exciting.

It just slightly annoys me, because they opened up Vic for ridicule. But in the end, speds are never going to leave Vic alone anyway, so they might as well have fun.

Idk, maybe I'm overthinking.

Where's the rest of the email? Why is this cropped? Why is the top portion not shown? It's one thing to redact your own email address, but why didn't you show the receiver's email address on here, yet you had no problem revealing it on your Twitter handle? Until I see the whole email, I'm calling bullshit on this one.

Yeah, this is exactly how I feel. I was really disappointed when I first heard. Like really? This is it? Several rangers on unlocked kept hyping how awesome it would be.

Now I'm fairly sad that everyone is laughing at him. My worry is the face looks like a Funko Pop and that he may get sued for that alone.

I get what you're saying, but you're being a little too invested in this. We don't even know what the story is and it may turn out to be a nothing burger.

Also, the fucking pillock who posted that "email" from Funko support is clearly just stirring shit and trying to cover his tracks. Like, why did he just show snippets of the email? Why didn't he just post the whole "email" from Funko revealing their address while redacting his own? He posts the email address of the company on Twitter, but isn't willing to reveal it on those screenshots? This whole thing looks shady as fuck.

Vic's on unlocked talking about the weekend. According to him, anyone who took a maskless picture did it at their own decision (and at their own risk).

Also he notes that people REEEEing about the convention thing aren't REEEEing about other VAs going to conventions, and believes they only screech because Vic Man Bad.
