I would like to find someone autistic enough to chart the transformation of Dick as a character to just being Dax as a person, or vice versa. Part of what I found entertaining about Dick's advice, at least earlier on, was the tongue-in-cheek delivery where he'd give good advice but present it in an unfavorable light, or give blatantly bad advice because it's funny and fits with the tone of the character or the question the person asked.

I've been on the fence about listening to WATP anymore because of the involvement of Dax and Digi. I figured I would eventually continue listening to future episodes that don't feature Dax's horrible jokes and forced laughter, but if Karl is really going to make Digi a regular part of the show then that will likely be it for me. As a kid, you get fucked up and think it's cool. You do it as much as you can.
When you grow up, it doesn't feel as great to be going that hard all the time cause you have shit to do.
Social pressure will usually mount to quit everything, but usually this isn't what happens. You will have a spare script to Xanax you keep for bad days at work when you can't get to sleep or get perscribed a stimulant to better help with job performance or a muscle relaxer for spasms and pain and occasionally ride the 2 or 3 beer buzz train while watching movies with your loved ones. The law sees this as medicine and has no problem with it so long as you aren't driving or doing stupid shit in public, and normies can use their medicines every other week or so.

Maybe you'll feel like breaking the law you experiment with microdosing or have a doobie and go to a pink floyd laser show once in a blue moon.

This is what responsible adults who are more liberal with drug use eventually move on to, occassional use for special occasions that does not interfere with your life. I think I said it somewhere before, but when I was in high school, this 25-year-old used to hang out with us and buy us booze, and I thought he was the biggest badass ever. When I was 25, I realized that a 25-year-old who hangs out with 16 and 17-year-olds is a fucking loser. I assume it's a similar situation.
