Dick often gets obsessed with being right when he sees an angle that many people are seemingly oblivious to.

The most recent episode is a perfect example. He rightly says that the protests are used as political tools and that, in reality, there is no great uprising, it's just a bunch of kids that are being allowed to smash things - the authorities could put a stop to it at any point.
However, what he often fails to realise is that while such an observation may be correct, it does not solve the whole issue. You can personally escape the political manipulation the protests are being used for by just not paying attention and not getting mad, but you can't do the same for actual physical destruction at your door step. You may recognise the scheme behind certain happenings but that doesn't make them disappear.

Once he gets into this loop of trying to convey his view, he has to keep defending a certain side to support that as being the absolute solution to the problem at hand.
We saw the same approach recently with Cuties, where his claim was that choosing such a sexualised poster was just a marketing tactic to bait outrage. Again, this might be true, yet it doesn't take away from the fact that some pre-pubescent girls had to pose in such a manner for a movie poster.

I don't belive in Dicks accusations. I was merely pointing out that if they happened to be true (She did hang around dick after all) it would make her unreliable.

Doing some sleuthing shows the expected result that he’s not actually an engineer as he claims. He did a degree in computer science and worked in the field.

Big respect for you software guys but stop fucking calling yourselves engineers.
