Probably sponsors their products because a large portion of his audience expresses an interest in PC gaming. Most PC gamers use Windows. Linux is an option, but not as many games are compatible. Thanks to Proton, Linux gaming isn't as bad as it once was.

Learning to use even the newbie friendly distros would get in the way of jacking it to lolis, too.

From what I gathered, those are unauthorized (possibly illegally obtained) keys that may or may not expire. You're not supposed to be able to buy super cheap keys from anyone who isn't Microsoft, or an authorized reseller. Its shady as fuck. One of the websites is based in Hong Kong.

So it seems like they will sponsor anybody with at least 10 readers.
