I'm not gonna argue that the drugs were probably what caused Saint George Floyd the Third, Praise be Upon His Name, to ascend from his mortal coil and join his father and brother, black God and black Jesus, in the holy heaven above.

What I'm gonna argue is, why did the cop need to have his knee on George's neck for that long? Those cops were in no danger, they outnumbered an unarmed Floyd and the dude could barely function.

The overarching argument you need to counter is, blacks are being treated more harshly than everyone else. Cases like this are the proof, and it's hard to argue against. Other races get abused too, but not to the degree blacks face. Whether or not that force is necessary is another discussion, one that I think ultimately lands in the cop's favor.

My opinion? His death from the drugs was inevitable, but the officer's action quickened his death. There would've been riots either way because people jump to conclusions and would assume, but all of the officers hand's would be clean, and the protestors would look retarded.

The officer who kneed Floyd should still be convicted and jailed while the other cops that let it happen should be convicted. It sounds harsh punishing the others, but where were the "good cops" we hear so much about? They cared more about the officer making a point than Floyd's life, and it could be you in that position next.

I agree with you to an extent. But I do feel that Floyd hd shown himself, repeatedly, to be unwilling or unable to comply, and he seemed to be grasping at any straws he could to get away. Lying about his Mum dying, pulling the "muh clostrofobeeaarrzz" schtick, and all that.


It does raise questions though about the need for him to be on his front with an Officer with a knee on his neck. Clearly, we need to find a better way to pin down people who are clearly not going to comply or doe as they are told.

I don't see Floyds death as any great loss, and I don't give a toss about him. But for a child, of which Floyd had several, to have this appalling creature of a parent who is then deified and lionised post death, is going to fuck them right up. And the last thing society needs is more Dorters of Kahngz toting huge gold casket sized chips on their shoulders.

Either way though, the only reason that man was losing his shit is because passing fake bills is not a non-issue and because of his previous criminal history, he knew he would be heading back to jail. I've no sympathy. if you cannot stay inside of the Law, at least have the goddamn smarts not to get caught.

There's virtually no statistical evidence to support this assertion. All anyone talks about is isolated incidents, because when you look at the big picture the systemic racism suddenly vanishes. Floyd was a big dude and it took them a bit to get him to stop fighting them, he didn't want/refused to stay in the back of the cop car, so the knee was very likely the best of any solution. It looked fucking terrible though, i'll admit to that. And I'm not going to set here and say all cops are great, and never fuck up. I've seen way too many fuck up, and hurt/kill someone for no reason. Very rarely, if ever is it "cop murders some random dude because racism!!!"
