CultcowEvaXephon / Yanderedev / Alex Mahan / Alexander Stuart Mahan / cannotgoogleme - Edgy weeaboo coomer with pedo tendencies and 15+ years internet history as a lolcow, now known as a disaster developer behind eternal debug build called "Yandere Simulator", confirmed groomer and dollfucker
This blur effect is going to date the game so badly if it isn't already. It's actually amusing how much this game feels straight out of 2014. Almost as if a more competent version of Alex had finished Osana only a few months after launching the pre-alpha sandbox and then time-traveled 6 years later.
Man, I feel like playing San Andreas again. The AI is hilariously trashy and the physics can be janky but I love that game so much nonetheless.

That would require his financial desires to exceed his Ego. Considering he has rich parents and seems to use finances as a pity point of conversation as opposed to an actual real life problem people face, that is incredibly unlikely.
Alex genuinely isn't doing this for the cash, he's doing this to stroke his ego and try and prove his detractors wrong, so he can be praised and whatever the fuck else gets him hard.
Well guys, here's the post I promised a few days ago...
I can't believe that enough people here haven't noticed the similarities between John Kricfalusi (aka John K) and good ol' Alex. While I was a lurker, I remember one particular user pointing out all of the reasons why these cows are really similar to each other, but they haven't posted in a while, so I feel like I need to make these similarities clear to you all.
Now there's a lot of similarities between these two, so I'll spoiler all of them for convenience's sake. So, both of them:
Alex's whole damn game is the prime example here. He has claimed to be "working on the game" so many times when it's clear to any non-Alex cult member normal person that he obviously isn't. Before Osana finally was "completed" (in the loosest sense ever here), he has sworn up and down that he was "tweaking her" or "making sure that the fans will like her when she's finished" while also going on fucking Twitch to stream to his brainlet fans.
John K, meanwhile, has been in several situations in which he's tried to perfect nearly everything about the Ren and Stimpy episodes he's worked on. There's one infamous anecdote about him making the artists for the show create an inordinate amount of color palettes for a fucking present. He ended up approving of one of the first color palettes created, by the way. There's been a few times that he's been so ashamed of a Ren and Stimpy episode that he decides to credit himself under a pseudonym. Several times he's been really judgemental of his own work and cannot watch it without pointing out all of the mistakes he's made. As for the procrastinating he's done, his Cans Without Labels cartoon is the most infamous example of this. It's basically Yandere Simulator, but funded with an actual Kickstarter and is a shitty cartoon instead of a shitty game. Still more enjoyable than YanSim, by the way. Oh, and I can't leave out how he's infamously said shortly before being fired from his own show that each of the Ren and Stimpy episodes he's worked on and will work on have and will "cost what they cost and take as long as they need".
Curious about why there's so many former "volunteers" of YanSim? Look no further than all of the testimonies from countless ex-YanSim volunteers floating around on numerous websites! They've all essentially said the same thing about Alex: he's controlling, expects the utmost quality from everyone (even if they're a rookie in whatever they're providing to him), and insists on paying them in exposure rather than actual money. Not to mention all of the times he's gone off on his volunteers, exposed his really gross, perverted side (which I'll touch on more later), and has been generally an entitled prick to everyone around him.
John K had also created a terrible working environment in the form of his now defunct animation studio Spumco. If you were working on the first two seasons of Ren and Stimpy there at the time, you were almost certainly in for a bad time. Like Alex, he was (and still likely is) overdemanding, verbally-abusive, entitled, and just a total ass to work with. There were very people who liked him (or at least tolerated him) there. One time, he had broken up with his longtime girlfriend Lynne Naylor (who was also working on Ren and Stimpy) and she eventually started dating another staff member named Chris Reccardi (RIP). Once he found out about their relationship, he got so angry that he fired them both. I would not want to have John K as a boss (and not Alex as my boss either). Makes sense that he got fired from his own show back in the day. I also can't forget to mention that after John and his studio could no longer work on Ren and Stimpy, many of the old staff members abandoned ship, prompting John to replace them all with young, relatively-inexperienced animators. See where this is going? I'm also going to touch more on this later.
It's no secret now that Alex hated his parents. He felt like they were pushing his buttons too much. When they urged him to go to college, he literally had a meltdown on the Internet over it. He's such an entitled manbaby that he couldn't possibly handle being a grownup and potentially not living at mommy and daddy's expensive house anymore. I feel like they should've been harder on him, but that's just my opinion.
It's also no secret that John had a really rocky and toxic relationship with his father growing up. He was really intent on pursuing his interests in cartoons while his father tried (and failed) to turn him away from all that. They also clashed over John's apparent "lack of manliness". John's father likely saw his son's interests in cartoons as "un-masculine" and wanted him to be in the military instead. However, John in his youth frequently rebelled against his father with varying degrees of success. As a result of his tumultuous childhood and teenage years, so many of the cartoons that John K has made scream "daddy issues". He even has a whole character named George Liquor based off of his dad.
Throughout his entire life, Alex has used anime, video games, and the Internet to escape from the daily struggles of his life. He has become so deeply-entrenched in these interests of his that they essentially became his entire personality. His ideal girl (will also discuss this later) is built around all of the female anime and video game characters he's become enamored with over the years, which reveals how incredibly-warped his perception of the real world is. He's spent so much of his life holed up in his room and become so addicted to anime, video games, and the Internet that he literally hasn't left his house in over a year, way before the coronavirus came to the United States.
Similarly to Alex, John has used cartoons in order to escape from all the stress his relationship with his father brought him. He's described multiple times how, just like Alex, he'd holed himself up in his room in his youth reading comic books all day. He likely spent a lot of time in there perfecting his drawing skills as well. One summer, John immersed himself so much in creating a comic book just for his dad only for him to toss it in the fireplace. This likely only made him use cartoons for escapism purposes even more afterwards.
This should not come as a surprise to anyone who's watched Alex's rise and fall over the years. He expects no one to criticize him and his shitty game even when he's publicly done something wrong. Yandaddy is always in the right and never in the wrong. He's this perfect human being that no one can criticize because he's perfect. He's a gigantic narcissist and always wants asspats from every single person who remotely expresses interest in his game. If anyone even dares to question him and the creation of his shitty game, then uh oh, they're really in for it! He'll use anything he can to rake them over the coals because no one can question him! He's also really vain, so it shouldn't be surprising that he has (and probably still does) obsessed/obsesses over his appearance and why he can't attract a single girl. He likely feels entitled to have a girlfriend even...
John K has had a massive ego for decades now, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone at this point. He has gotten so fucking salty whenever someone has brought up the fact that they liked episodes of Ren and Stimpy from seasons three to five. Like Alex, he expects everyone to never question a single thing he's ever done and to not negatively-criticize his work. John's work is always perfect and if he's taking a long time to make his cartoons, then sorry, you're just gonna have to wait for him to finish! Like Alex, he's also incredibly vain. He's gotten a ton of plastic surgery, specifically facelifts, eyelifts, and fucking sideburn implants in order to make himself look more youthful and to (hopefully) attract women who are potentially romantically-interested in him. Keep in mind that Alex is in his thirties now while John is now in his sixties and he's still getting all of these surgeries.
It is as clear as day that Alex's fanbase functions as a cult. Filled to the brim with twelvies who will never question a single thing he does, he painstakingly manages this cult of his in order to make sure they don't hear about any "gremlins" speaking ill about him. If they do, then they might question their dear Yandaddy! These fans function as an impenetrable wall in order to shield him from any sort of criticism as well.
After Ren and Stimpy finished airing, John's Spumco company slowly began to function as a cult as well. It was filled with some of his old staffmates-turned enablers and mostly young, inexperienced animators (like I brought up earlier). A lot of these new animators were women too... He made sure that none of his staff ever questioned any decision he made and that they always worshiped him. So many former Spumco staff members from this era have said that it basically functioned like a cult centered around John that it really is no wonder that an animation historian named Thad Kommoroski has once nicknamed him "John Koreshfalusi". In the early-to-mid 2000s, his fanbase online essentially was made up of white knights who never questioned any of the stranger things about him and always defended his actions no matter what. Reminds me of Alex's fanbase nowadays...the worst part is that there's still people on the Internet today that will defend John and his actions to the ends of the earth.
Alex is a massive coomer. He's played lots of porn games like Rapelay and has almost certainly fapped to numerous hentai titles throughout his life. His view of girls is incredibly warped due to all of the anime and video games he's immersed himself in, making him desire young, malleable girls. There are lots of questionable things about YanSim, like how two of the rivals are adults lusting after a teenager and one of the rivals is that same teenager's sister. Alex likely gets off to all of this stuff and is essentially using his game as a fap fantasy. The whole Sisefs thing also proves, at least in my opinion, that Alex has some pedo tendencies.
John K is arguably the more perverted of the two. So much of his art revolves around incredibly-sexualized young girls and women that it's hard to ignore. He even has a character named Sody Pop who's basically Alex's Mai Waifu; that is, she represents all of his deepest desires in what he wants in a girl—one that is incredibly good-looking and underage. Also like Alex, John is also a coomer. He reportedly spent a lot of his time in college masturbating so much that he earned the nickname "Jack". He also has a lot of odd fetishes like a bathing fetish that he frequently inserts his characters into. John's perversions are so strong that he's actually hurt real young girls in the past. I wouldn't doubt if he's still trying to contact young girls over the Internet so he could groom them...
Well, there you have it. These two cows are more alike than what you once thought.

Wow, that suicide cutscene is extremely fucking disturbing, literally on par with a horror game. I can understand why Alex would put it in, as a way to make the player understand the gravity of their actions (Instead of just throwing NPCs in the incinerator hundreds of times), but with his fanbase? And you need to remember he programmed and animated this shit too as a cutscene. Gives me memories of games like I'm Scared and the Ao Oni genre. I can only think of one creepier way of portraying her death and I'm not going to subject you to an explanation.
On a brighter side, Alex has finally made an appearance in the game.
I actually do not believe he's that malicious. He just got comfortable and lazy. Easy money for nothing, why bother. Ironically, if he wouldn't have Patreon income like this, maybe he wouldn't have this procrastination episode and would finish it faster. After all, main reason he took to the action now is mostly money - his income is dwindling.

I like it, because, well, it's supposed to be game about yandere. Player should be "rewarded" for their actions. For me, this game is not gritty enough anyway. Is very bubbly, but doesn't balance creepier and darker themes. Because killing is so easy and cartoonish, that's one major reason. Player could kill and kill NPCs in different ways already. It was fun and shocking, 6 years ago. Now we have come to be desensitized and accustomed to it. There was no suicide like this in the game, though. It does looks like inspired by Doki Doki Literature Club tho.
You know, Witcher 3 came out 5 years ago; I was enamored by it. When I play it again - yea, there's still loads of fun because it's hard to see everything in one playthrough. But you know mechanics, in and out, and start to see how game works. Your suspension of disbelief is not working like before.
That's the problem with Yandere Simulator. Players and youtubers like Jay know everything about the game, maybe even better than Alex, and that's the reason why they can break the game constantly like this. It's not fresh experience anymore.
Not sure actually, you see yan-chan naked in the shrine cutscene. There's no bra because in her normal uniform you can only see her pants, I think it's just a rendering problem.
But she has to dress like that. What if Alex discovered a hanged girl? She has to be dressed sexy in case a boy finds her first you know *wink wink nudge nudge* I mean ughhh
Alex probably hasn't recovered from the hospital scene in End of Evangelion and he's all into that unconscious shit.

Similar as they are, there's a few big differences:
In spite of all his flaws, his perverted lifestyle and his massive ego, John K. has advanced his career, produced and finished numerous highly-rated and popular projects, and achieved financial success.
Some of those trees look like thier from fucking Mass Effect 1 from 2007 while others look like bad photos from google. God damn have consistent art style. Then again if he did anything consistent or requires skill the game would be fuckin out years ago.
This is Alex explanation for her.
It's such a normal trope in animes though.
They even sometimes use the same explanation to cover up the obvious incest route. See Oreimo.
