Is there a single person, detractor or ahnest fahn, who is seriously watching this stream and thinks Phil looks like he's in pain? Crippling pain?
It's the same milquetoast "describe what's happening on screen" (complete with goat laughter) commentary as any other day, and we're supposed to believe he's struggling with a serious illness?

Phil sometimes reminds me of this dude I used to work with. He would routinely come up with some sort of illness a day or so before a big game was released and he'd be home "sick" so he could grab the midnight release and play all day. He took a whopping 3 days off in a row because he had an ingrown toenail (but really, it was because Marvel Ultimate Alliance came out).

Phil builds up some dogshit excuse to be utterly crippled. He can't just come out and say "I don't wanna shtreem today!" he HAS to have some mysterious malady to keep him from doing what he loves (begging).

More amusing is that they think we're mad about it (whoever actually is bothered by DSP meeting tips goals is way too invested in hating the man for the wrong reasons) when it's just funny how it highlights his disconnect from his fanbase and how unscrupulous he is about begging even in the good times. You can't pay good money to get a show like this.

I think the biggest reason that I dislike Phil is he is a PERFECT example of wasted potential. He could have been great, but instead he established himself as an example of what NOT to do. He let his personal life, into his professional life, he let greed and impatience ruin all of his sponsorships, and he'll upload multiple videos a day, rather than 1-3 GOOD videos with edits a WEEK. If he applied himself, and spent time establishing a brand, he could have been great. I actually really liked his Alan Wake series back in the day, but that was the last time he was really funny.

He hates his job and doesn't care for any game besides SF2 so there's nothing he can even reminisce about. I'm pretty sure Phil has about half a dozen whales who will silently pony up at minimum $100 bucks on demand so long as Phil doesn't bleed them horseshoe crabs. Since Phil's greed is massively strong, its only a matter of time before he burns them out though. The real question is if he can replace them as quickly as he burns them.

If Phil were only about the money, this wouldn't bother him, but his NPD ass will have genuine butthurt over the fact that he isn't regarded as a forefather of the gaming industry and not chiseled into the same gaming Mt Rushmore as Ninja, PDP, Kojima and Miyamoto. By the end, even the fact that the negative things about him are lost to history will hurt just as bad as the fact that his greatest hits are as well.

Exactly, but this is the cold hard truth that is waiting for MOST streamers. PDP, Ninja, etc are the exceptions because they have transcended gaming as a franchise and established themselves as brands and household names. But for every other streamer, they will be completely forgotten with time. Video games are a hobby at BEST. The history books will look back on "Video Game streaming" in the same way that we look back on Rome's Colosseums: as a clear sign of excess and otherwise useless to the advancement of society as a whole.
