I don't understand how these giant babies are able to survive in the world at all. They are so emotionally and mentally fragile. I think there is a legitimate place for recognising the importance of emotions, anxiety, depression, in helping to support people who may need it, but people such as these have absolutely high-jacked such initiatives and warped them into nothing ever being good enough or safe enough for their sensitive tastes...and I say this as someone who is sensitive myself!
They have a vendetta against the entire world but don't seem to understand that the only person they are hurting is themselves. Eating yourself into obesity doesn't stick it to the man, or societah. They are the physical embodiment of drinking a potion named 'resentment' and hoping that it kills off all the thin and pretties, leaving only Muslims and POC behind. But it never will. All they are doing is killing themselves.
It's ludicrous to think that what was considered the fat kid in the 60s looks positively svelte in comparison to the spectrum of fat we are presented with today.
However I've also considered that this movement is basically an extreme response to the heroin chic movement of the early 90s. If every action has an opposite and equal reaction then the HAES movement is essentially the revolutionary response to a culture that was equally, though oppositely, unhealthy, in pushing women towards eating disorders and plastic surgery in the quest for pretty. Whether it's starving yourself into flat chestedness, pumping yourself with silicone to represent porns fetishised ideals, or cramming food down your throat until you break the matrix, all are just different degrees of self-mutilation either to appeal to, or to put the middle finger up to, the man.
They are still living life consumed by what others think of them. Surely it would be more freeing to just walk away from the circus entirely? Then again...deathfats also seem to require a pathological amount of attention. Losing weight and looking pretty would be too ordinary. Being obese they are 'special' in some way...especially if they reach infinifat status.
Hey one thing that’s got up my nose lately is the weird stating of obvious untruths by FA people. Specifically, the using of “good” statements, made to make the speaker sound like they are adhering to a moral eating code.
FAs love to say that food is not a moral issue and you shouldn’t say you’ve “been bad” when you ate cake today, or you’ve “been good” for eating a salad (I agree, but only because it’s annoying to hear.)
Yet these same people seem religiously devoted to using common statements to prove they’re “good fats”....stating they haven’t eaten all day, their favourite food is fresh salads, they love to exercise...all things that scream “I’M BEHAVING WELL, I’M BEHAVING LIKE A THIN PERSON, BELIEVE ME!” Even though it’s obviously not true.
Do they do it to somehow prove that despite living a spartan life of kale and daily sprints, they still weigh 22 stone and therefore weight loss is impossible? Is it a cargo cult thing, where if you say it enough, that lifestyle will come to pass? Do they think if they say it enough to others, that others will start to perceive them as smaller? Or is it unconscious?
Or
I've never met a fat person who admitted to eating too much. They all seem to think they eat less than Miranda Kerr before she hit the runway. If you've ever watched Secret Eaters on YouTube, you'll see that most fat people grossly underestimate how much they eat, or are simply living in delusional denial.
Some people still believe that soda and snacks don't contribute any calories or that a five minute walk will eradicate a day of bad eating.
