Oof. That's really bad. How did that much mold happen? Is it that humid in WA? Or does he have a leak in the roof? If that's an interior wall, the mold has definitely crawled up the inside of the wall and likely has spread to the wall opposite of it due to no insulation. That's just.. That's a man who doesn't know what the fuck he is looking at and doesn't give a shit about caring for his belongings. His house is literally rotting and he can't even see it. That's just fucking sad. Shit like that gets to me. There are people out there hustling for their lives in a bachelor apartment and then there is this shitdick that fate shat out two households and a six figure income that he couldn't give a fuck about outside of the illusion of success it grants him.

Delete the posts about mold. Phil reads these forums, and eventually, if you give mold enough time to grow (and he will), they become toxic. Fucking poetic. Killed by his own house because of his sloth.
Looks more like general filth and cat hair, really. They've had that mongrel for longer than he claims, so it would be likely that the cat hides in places and cat hair accumulates. The wall itself looks fine, just run a sponge and pinesol over it.

The stuff on the floor, while disgusting looking, isn't mold. It's just crap that hasn't been cleaned since he moved that ratty sofa there. Coupled with a pet of some kind, and it's just that much worse. When you move, that one place you never thought would be super gross (that guest room you don't go into often, but vacuum the general floor space semi-regularly) can look gross as shit when you move the furniture out. Stuff you don't see on the regular will get nasty as fuck over time.

Not making excuses for Dave, cause he's filthy as fuck.... But that zoomed in crop doesn't spell the nasty shit pile its been made out to be.

Didn't he claim there was mold or some other water damage in some other part of the cahndo there? Like in some closet or something?

Pretty sure the stuff on the wall is a wick pattern from mold, if it was just dirt that settled it would also be coating the trim, but it isn't, that's a telltale sign of mold. Almost positive that's rot or mold. My basement walls looked like that after a flood.

Edit: went and looked at the original on his insta. That ain't hair and dirt, friend. That's a water creep/wick pattern.

He also uses fucking potato-tier resolution for his pictures, so there could also just be artifacting making it look worse when it zooms in. I would think that any kind of mold would be higher up on the wall if whatever leak/issue was preexisting since that room hasn't been touched, really, in years.

But, who the fuck really knows? This is Phil. He's gross as fuck.

STOP MAKING ME DRYWALL FLEX
The height of the creep is not necessarily indicative of how bad the issue is, it's more about where the issue is. If the problem is on the inside of the drywall, then the entire inside of the wall could have mold crawled all the way up. The actual core of drywall is insanely dry and insanely thristy, so if the problem lays on the other side of the wall, it could be incredibly bad and has finally rotted its way through the paper, then the core, and is now working its way up the painted side of the wall.
Wanna jerk off about drywall facts?

There was water damage in the bedroom closet when he moved in. This was due to a leak in the roof. The roof eventually got repaired. In fact he set up the green screen in his garage because the roofers were working that day and Phil couldn't stream because of the noise.

There was also the problem with his leaky sink. He posted pics of this and there was massive water damage and suspected mold growth under the sink.

Phil has mentioned in the past that he has a couple humidifiers to help with the dry air. We know Phil is too lazy to properly clean them. Maybe this could spread mold spores?

When Phil first moved to Washington he remarked how the clean air cured his post nasal drip. He didn't snort any more! Then slowly over time his snort came back. Hmm. A combination of dust and mold spores might do that.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how much of a braindead sucker, I mean mature adult, you have to be to move into a house with water damage?

Oh yeah here's a clip because why not

The sucker part comes from not asking for the damage to be fixed by the seller. Most older houses have some issues, but to not ask for the damage to be fixed prior to the purchase is nuts.

I'll bite, is this the sort of thing that cam be prevented by say an oil based primer or anything that isn't your garden variety thin drywall primer? Bit of a dabbler into house painting myself so I know a thing or two about drywall.
Mold? Naw. No amount of 'mold resistant' paint or sealant will stop mold, so don't fall for that sale's trick bullshit. Mold is an end result of a flaw somewhere in the architecture of the house. If it's the basement, then it's somewhere in the foundation, usually a crack caused by shifting or the freeze/thaw mechanism of the seasons, or your weeping tile system is fucked up somewhere. If it is above ground, then there is a hole somewhere in your outer wall or in the roof, and water is getting in there. If you've checked those and you're still getting mold or growing mushrooms, it may be because there is a high amount of trapped humidity in the household and your air circulation is poor, there may be an issue in your cold air return system, or just a dead spot in the whole thing where humidity drifts and settles (it's heavier than air, so it will move to the lowest possible spot it can get to and settle there). If it's allowed to sit long enough it condenses back into water, and drywall loves water. Drinks that shit right up, right up to the point that it finally turns to mush and falls apart.

This is fucking disgusting. Why would he post this? That mold is absolutely inside the walls. How the hell does someone let their house get this disgusting.

for years he has been sitting on mould and wonders why he's always sick, and thinks his snorting is genetic, no mfer, that's your immune system trying to stop mould from entering your lungs

I don't blame jasper for trying to hide in the closet whenever he's in there

That's actually not entirely on him, especially since he's retarded. I don't know how it works in the states, but here in buttfuck Canada, if you are going through a bank to buy a house, you ain't getting the money until an inspector walks through the house when it is as accessible as possible (i.e. walls aren't covered, access ports are opened, crawl spaces, etc.). Banks don't like paying big money and then finding out the thing isn't worth nearly as much as they thought it was.
So either that mold wasn't there, or no inspector was involved.
I suppose there is an off chance that the seller just quickly painted over the mold to get the sale through, that's a thing that happens, too.

If you watch the house hunting videos, he wasn't a very knowledgeable homebuyer.

His main concern was whether or not he had to go up steps, where the television would go, and how close the place was to fast food. Oh, and a two car garage. He needed a two car garage.

He took a week off to go house hunting. Looked at houses for one afternoon. Spent the remainder of the trip getting smashed off tanqueray and eating at the most expensive restaurants he could find.

Would you be able to link those videos? I'm lazy and posting in between breaks of work.

Sounds kinda awesome to me ngl.

Bonus clip of him talking about busted toilets and not doing anything wrong and leaks.
