Hopefully some people come to realize that society needs law enforcement. And that we are asking these people in uniforms to do an incredibly tough job. I don't know... It seems like these leftist completely forget about empathy (or any other tenant of their faith) when it is convenient. The right is often equally hypocritical, as well. (It is truly a shame that people are almost required to make these statements condemning the right. If we dare say anything about the true and right doctrine of the progressives.)

Edit sperging and speaking for Western Civ.: We aren't outraged because we can reason rather than simply make things about race. The world is not simply white and black. The world is complicated. This kid may or may not have deserved to be shot. But we need to get to the facts of the matter without chimping and destroying the investigation or worse our entire community. Generally this fact finding is done by some trial court and if the retard deserves a remedy (even though you can't really remedy death and/or some bodily injury; all we can generally offer is money) he will be "justly" compensated.

Also I think the mother was stupid. You don't call the police because your son is having a puzzle piece moment, that isn't a task for the police. It's a task for YOU, the mother, and maybe you can call some family members or friends to help you, or call the kid's doctor/therapist. It's a nice narrative to think that BLM chased out a beloved black police chief who got things done... but I think the reality is a lot more complicated. Maybe more a case of someone who just did a poor job and so didn't have enough support among cops, politicians or activists to stay there.

Apparently he was having a "psychological episode and threatened people with a weapon". While it could be true, it's not that uncommon to lie about an encounter with the mentally ill if it goes south, or for the police to rough up someone having an episode.

The statement doesn't seem that odd to me, it's really weird that he got shot but it's reasonable to believe that a caretaker or mother would call the cops on her autistic or otherwise mentally ill/disabled son as a punishment for yelling or mouthing off. You see it often enough when you work with vulnerable populations.

Yeah, supposedly she called 911 because she wanted some big men to come tackle her kid. The underlying thought is that she wanted someone to come parent for her. Why doesn't she have a guy in the kid's life who can do that? Doesn't have to be dad, necessarily. Where's a neighbor? Why can't she do it if it's so easy? Keep in mind, police physical standards are constantly being relaxed because we don't want the 6'0 strongmen that used to be the staple of many city cops (especially places like LAPD). Inclusivity is key, now. Well, how do you expect a responding 105lb 5'1 woman cop to be able to wrestle some tard-strength 'kid' to the ground?

I got a poll just like that only no police reform stuff (no real movements in my state), and local politicians the fuckers took me though all the questions only to be told "oh you don't qualify for this poll" bloody scam.

A little OT but funny: When caller ID first arrived, the phone company gave me a caller ID phone if i'd subscribe. One day I got a call from someone who said he was from a polling company and would I answer some questions. I, being young and stupid, agreed. They ran me through the whole thing, then asked me what city I lived in. I told him and he said, oh, no, we already have too many people from there, sorry to have taken up your time. Well, I thought about this for awhile and to amuse myself several hours later called the number on caller ID. They answered and I said I was hoping that someone from my city had dropped out so my answers to their poll would get used. They totally freaked out. How did I get this number? No one is supposed to call this number! (So why the fuck did you answer it, then?) It disordered them. Stupid bastards had never heard of caller ID.
Since then, fucking with polling companies has become a minor hobby if mine. It never fails to satisfy. If you can do voices and accents, it's even more fun.
