Icon's philosophy is one of a hardline egalitarianism, but one that supports "dictatorship", so long as... everyone is equal... inside the dictatorship?
Whatever, the important thing is that all beings are loved equally, except for the humans at the top of a hierarchy, who are considered inferior, backwards and savage by the supposed "egalitarian". When pressed to clarify this contradiction, Icon cites the inability to get a student loan and street-level catcalling as justification for interplanetary intervention. It's just stupid.

A better writer could pull this off, and in fact has.
