How much of this is just a game to them, and how much of it is "serious revolution"?
Is this supposed to be real social change but gamified like every other aspect of their lives?
Whatever the case, they are doing serious damage. It would just be helpful to better understand their actual purpose.

The reason for all of this is simple and can be stated in a single sentence: these are hobbies primarily enjoyed by young men, who tended to lean libertarian. That's why all the nerd shit was under assault after the rise of geek chic. So many young men tried to get their girlfriends into this shit, and they wouldn't bite. Now that it's popular, the gender disparity is a sign of male sexism despite every nerdy guy wanting their own Ramona Flowers.
The nerds also put up a fight when girls would try to do this shit to appeal to the "geek chic" during its early rise before it was totally entrenched in society with shows like The Big Bang Theory, and they'd be accused of being sexist, but we all saw those girls try to do it. The girls that were geeky and loved video games but only ever talked about Zelda and never played anything before Ocarina of Time, that sort of fake shit. (That's why gaming journalist would also praise casual gaming and rant about gamer elitism).

We have such strange ideas of what "civilization" is in the 21st century. Now we have to care about the rights, dignity, feelings, and physical health of those who steal or threaten us harm. In the old days we'd be expected to keep them in check by gunning them down as they raided us or slicing them with a sword, but now, we're just supposed to take it while the police are ordered to do nothing (despite liberals telling us we don't need guns because we can just call 911, despite police being evil, you know).
This cannot be understated and this juvenile generation literally gets a large portion of its ideology from stupid fucking pop culture horseshit made for kids. The absolutely most infantile "revolutionaries" in human history.

Even when COVID and rioting blow over, I agree that things will have fundamentally changed, and I worry it'll take a huge reckoning to drag everyone back to something that looks like normal. Several years ago, I noticed that the trans community thinks treating other people like dirt is some sort of moral imperative, and now that rot has spread to a huge portion of the left. Simply being nice is a major component to society being able to function, let alone being able to achieve greater things in the future. If no one is nice, nothing gets done, period.
It also figures that the race hustlers have been trying to claim that being nice is "whiteness". Definitely explains why the woman on that plane felt empowered to take her lunacy mainstream.
I guess I'm "lucky" in that I've always been the odd one out due to a combination of being reserved, relatively unemotional, and not a bandwagoner. So, being socially isolated because I'm not buying into groupthink is an easier burden for me than for someone who's accustomed to being more popular.

As far as I know, the only food "deserts" in Seattle are in traditionally industrial areas and downtown. Speaking of those neighborhoods, the only grocery stores they had recently closed due to the city's lax policies on "survival" crime.

They were told everything they did was super important and special growing up. Then they got to college and were told that The People were the real power and they could overthrow The System if they just followed the revolutionary plan.
They really do think that governments are supposed to cower and crumble if they just have enough "student protests" in the street. It worked in Iran and South America and all those other exotic brown people places, why not here?
Getting tear gassed tells them "ooo the fascists are afraid of me!" Surviving the tear gas and rubber bullets tells them "I'm stronger than the fascists!" Having mega-corporations, the untouchable symbols of power and wealth, put up a BLM message, tells them "The System is hearing my voice, and is being forced to agree!"
The cruelest thing you can do is laugh at them. Once they realize no one takes them seriously, the entire facade crumbles.

Seeing pushback to these crazies from videos in this thread helps. From Sturgis, to those ANTIFAGS that got beat up in Salem, and even more recently with rural towns in Oregon and Washington keeping these arsonists out of their towns or the response to the NFL posturing that even piped in crowd sounds couldn't drown out.
Also, doomerism is appathy. When you look at these big global or national events and decide everything is fucked anyway, you give up on things at your state or local level. Hell, your personal life begins to suffer too. Becoming a social recluse is a big part of that and only plays into furthering the very thing you're black pilled about.
Just because Leftist believe their Reich will last a thousand years doesn't mean it will be so. People hide their true opinions because of Leftists, but that doesn't mean they don't hold them. You can tell most of the time when someone is holding back their true thoughts. Network and make friendships with those people, raise your children to understand the dangers of leftism, and get active in your local community. Just keep going out of spite if you have to. Bill Maher has always been like a scientologist deep in the movement that knows that something is wrong but has no idea how bad it is, and is unwilling to lose everything by leaving. He gets these moments of stark lucidity, but he'll be back in no time.
