The deputies were shot in the head in what appears to be an ambush, department officials say. They were rushed to a local hospital. No update was immediately available on their condition.

I'm no doctor buuuuutttttt. They are either dead or critical condition and this reeks of execution.
How do we know this is BLM related and not just a Saturday night? This is Compton we're talking about.

I know a friend who didn't want to go to a doctor for a health problem because they didn't want to spend all that money. They have no insurance, I get it. But then they turn around and spend hundreds of dollars on kickstarter crap or other unnecessary things and I have to wonder if they have no preservation instinct.

I make very little money right now but I made sure to save a little of what I make. It helps. I'd like to try getting into stonks sometime but I still know very little of how it works.

You can start an investment account at ally.com.

Look into Total Index Exchange Traded Funds. They track with the stock market. Since the stock market generally gains over the long run, they should increase in value.

But do take a look at your situation and do some research since I am some rando on the internet.

It probably also dovetails with the advent of social media; not just because they want to be "trendy" and "quirky", but on a subconscious level, they consoom because buying their nerd shit gives them the same dopamine hit as upvotes, retweets, and asspats.

One of my childhood lessons on buying "wants" over "needs" is to buy something not for the sake of buying, but because you genuinely like it. If you don't think you'll be 100% happy with a "want", don't fucking buy it.

I remembered and used this just today, when shopping at a military surplus store (and it dawned on me that half of the "surplus" is junky Chinesium airsoft crap that would make me look like a complete bozo wearing out in public).

Edit: I'm Gen Y and have no qualms about humblebragging about how I'm not like my generation.
I think I'm considered Gen Y too but don't consider myself one of them. I'm kind of on the edge of both generations. I don't even know if it's a generation thing because people in their 30-40s act like teens and 20 somethings now. I also grew up with parents who were big hoarders so that made me utterly repulsed to buying junk you will never use and only takes up space. They were always tight on money so I never got an allowance. They paid for my needs growing up of course, but I got used to not getting a lot of cool new gadgets. When I started working, I was able to buy a few nice things and video games after I saved some money, but I learned it was a fine balance. It felt nice to give myself some gadgets when I had some extra money saved up.

My brain is blanking on the term. The one where you forgo immediate satisfaction for something that takes longer but ends up more fulfilling after hard effort? A lot of people don't know that anymore.

The main difference is that antifags destroy stuff belonging to white people also, while the only whites Klansmen went after were civil rights activists. They're smashing anything they can get at without too much resistance because they hate society.
BLM has given an excuse for the criminal and anarchist elements in society to destroy and burn things down. They’re the bottom of society, and largely are there as a result of their own poor choices.

However, I do think it’s fair to say in a small number of cases society really does railroad people. For example: I know someone who had an aggravated assault charge 9 years ago, hasnt reoffended, and still has trouble getting a job or renting somewhere. That’s pretty fucked up: I have no sympathy for career criminals, but I do think we as a society need to do a better job of seeing someone who was a one-time offender as a human being who had a bad day that pushed them over the edge rather than a monster. Especially if the crime committed happened when they were young (this guy did it when he was 19).

Obviously for rape, molestation, and murder it’s very different, but if someone shows remorse and a willingness to change
we really do need to do a better job of accepting them back into society. If you can’t get a job or rent somewhere, all you have left available is crime.

I can't say I haven't nights where I had some blackpilled moments, and was feeling like everything was fucked. But honestly looking back I am kind of amazed at the amount of restraint people have had regarding this bullshit. Sure antifa fuckers will try to spin it that its a sign that they are winning, but people have shown that they are far more restrained and really don't want to be forced in a position of violence. Despite all the insults, and threats, and riots we still haven't crossed that point of no return.

Personally I think the final line is going after peoples homes like they have done to businesses. If they overtly en masse started smashing, looting, and burning homes that is when shit will really hit the fan. Sure they have gotten worryingly close but they still haven't stooped to the level of attacking people in their homes. If they ended up breaking in and hurting a resident (or more likely end up getting blown away by a resident) then I think it would be time to start popping black pills, because there will be no coming back from that without massive repercussions.

What I guess I am getting at: despite what the media/twitters spergs/dyed hair brigade are presenting the world is not allied with this lunacy. Your average Tom, Dick, and Larry are getting fed up hearing this stupid bullshit 24/7 in every facet of their lives. The fact people haven't been going Rambo over this shit shows that in the end they are cowards and are only doing this in the weakest places that will allow their antics.
Not being a doomer or anything but the real problem is the media. If the media doesn't cover it, to most people it simply didn't happen. Most people are blissfully unaware of how fucked the state of Portland is and was. They don't know anything about Kyle Rittenhouse except whatever their preferred news said. They definitely don't know everyone involved was a criminal in some way except Kyle.
They don't see the videos of people looting everything and anything. They don't see BLM marches through suburbs telling people to come outside.

Go talk to people who just go to work and then go home 5 days a week, they don't know shit and it's not their fault. If antifa or whoever decided to start treating homes like they do businesses, it'd take a lot to get that word out to normal Americans across the country and even if that word was pushed through the mainstream media, it'd be watered down and painted as no big deal, it's totally under control and was a misunderstanding.

That's what gets me when it comes to the current state of affairs. The media knows that it is an information gatekeeper and it's weaponized to no end to where you have to be an autist like everyone here to actually get a trinket of truth.

Agreed. I think most people don't know how bad certain charges can fuck up your life long term. It's a major part of the problem and why people turn to a life of crime imo.

Something thats always bothered me is how lots of people treat everything as disposable. Something breaks or is not working correctly? Throw it away and get a new one. Something has some minor defect or problem? Replace it! Something outdated but functional? Toss it and get the new model!
I don't know if its a genetic thing (grandfathers being handymen/woodworkers), or how I was raised, or a touch of tism but I always want to try to fix my things before throwing them out (even if its a half-assed red green show tier job).
I can't help but think when you can learn the value of having things you are less keen on the destruction of other peoples stuff.

it's even worse when you realize a lot of them believe that renting is a better solution than owning anything, so they have even fewer attachments to the things they have.

i wonder how many of them even know that you cannot obstruct another person's freedom of movement when protesting.
