This is why I think it's a very big risk for the American Right and the government to take legal action against Netflix because they will lose then.

So when it comes to the track records of the American Left and the American Right, I know their track records very well.

Now when it comes to gun rights and also religious freedom, the American Right is at their strongest regarding these issues because the United States in the beginning was founded on these values so they will win lots of cases to protect gun rights and religious freedom. Now when it comes to the things that offend them such as pornography and edgy movies they are at their weakest because they still think their 'Christian morality' even means anything and they still refuse to accept the fact that Christian doctrine aren't valid arguments anymore in the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court, this is why the American Right lost the gay marriage issue a while ago. So every time the American Right tries to pass laws that attempts to ban or censor the things that offend them then those said dumb laws get struck down as unconstitutional in the end.

So with the American Left, they are at their strongest when it comes to progressivism, fighting for the rights for minorities, and also fighting for artistic and creative freedom and they won many cases related to these things. However, when it comes to issues such as gun rights and also religious freedom this is where the American Left is also at their weakest (especially with gun rights). So every time that the American Left passes laws to ban said firearms and accessories they get struck down as unconstitutional later on.

Now in this case, if the American Right is going to fight Netflix over this stupid movie then they will lose. A lot has changed since 'Miller vs. California' and the United States is now no longer influenced by the 'Moralist Right' anymore, the influence of the 'Moralist Right' has severely eroded and what now remains of the 'Moralist Right' are the old geezers that are nearing their death beds now.

So as of now, 'Miller vs. California' still stands but that can change very soon if this issue were to ever go to the Federal Courts or even the Supreme Court and knowing the track record of the American Left they will win in the end and will result in content that was previously seen as 'unprotected speech' to then becoming 'protected speech' later on. I'm just being realistic with these sorts of things.

This is why you should pick your battles carefully because this will only backfire on the American Right if they're going to fight Netflix by legal means and they're going to suffer the greatest legal defeat since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage then.

So let's see how this goes later on now.

Attempting to fight back against degenerate garbage regardless of results is a good thing.

Took a glance at some of the scenes of this film on Netflix to see if it's as bad as everyone is saying and it absolutely is. This film's "dance" scenes reminded me of Japanese "Junior Idol" videos, where since full on CP is banned in Japan, they instead film very underage girls in skimpy bikinis and outfits simulating sex acts by bouncing around on exercise balls and eating phallic foods. This movie seems like a way of trying to normalize that sort of shit in the west with the veneer of "creativity" and "art".

On the topic of Junior Idols, one of my favorite quotes is from an interview with one of the disgusting monsters who was a prominent director of Junior Idol videos, who was asked what he would do if his daughter starred in a Junior Idol video. His response? "I'd kill her, then I'd kill myself".

All of this ties into what @Secret Asshole deftly emphasizes: Pedos always want the real thing. Japan is rife with loli hentai, the Japanese Porn industry hires girls with hormone disorders who are above 18 but look super underage (like Mimi Yazawa who was posted earlier in the thread), but even with all that the Junior Idol industry is super strong in Japan. I've never formally studied criminal and deviant psychology, but between Junior Idols, Netflix's Cuties, and the whole Youtube pedoring video scandal, it really shows that with pedos it isn't about their appearance, the actual age is an important point.

Referencing Child Bride? A movie that was literally an exploitation film intended to have an underaged girl frolic naked for pervs to watch? Bold move.

Edit for context:

Since most people here are probably unfamiliar with the film: Child Bride was a movie made in the 30's, during the time of the Hays Code. There was an "exploitation circuit" of films made outside of the studio system, which frequently had shocking, graphic or otherwise lurid content that wouldn't be allowed in mainstream film, usually under the guise of being "educational" films. Nudist camp documentaries, cautionary tales of drug abuse or sexual deviancy, that sort of thing.

Even by those standards, Child Bride kinda stands out. It's an oddly appropriate film to mention when discussing "Cuties", actually, since it was also a movie that purported to be against something it was indulging in itself. The plot, such that it is, is that a guy blackmails a woman into allowing him to marry her 12-year old daughter. His plan is then thwarted because child marriage was banned a few days earlier. Then he gets killed. The end. Really not much of a movie, tbh. In theory, the movie was "educating people on the need for laws against child marriage". Which, in fairness, was still legal in some states at the time (and to a degree still is in some states).

However, that's not the part of the movie that got people's attention. There's a brief topless scene featuring the 12-year old, followed shortly by a long scene of her playing in a creek in the nude while the man who would attempt to marry her covertly watches her. It's completely gratuitous, and is pretty blatantly there because they knew a certain type of people watching were...well, let's just say they weren't necessarily big proponents of outlawing child marriage.

The movie's probably best known nowadays for being considered by the MST3K people as too painful for them to joke about.

I watched "Welcome To The Dollhouse" and "Happiness" back in the day. And they are not even close to being as degenerate as this filth, they're portrayed from a more reasonable angle, so I don't know what the fuck is that idiot talking about.

Take these scenes from the show "Picket Fences", about a boy having wet dreams, and notice how the scene is not unnecessarily long or with even more detail, which is exactly what "Cuties" does -- it shoves it all in your face for 3+ minutes.

"Happiness" happens to be one of my favorite dark comedy films so that fucker triggered me, fuck. Now I'm MATI.

God, I hate this argument! The thing is, while there's a good chance you have a closeted gay homophobe, homosexuality in general is between two consenting adults.
