U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

The simple solution is to stop policing poor and minority areas. Let them do what they want to themselves, because trying to intervene on behalf of one POC victimized by another POC will just trigger a riot.

If they just let Jacob Blake commit sexual assault, and a lot fewer people would've been hurt in the aggregate. Only respond to calls in middle class or better areas, or white majority areas.
The problem with that solution is that the people inhabiting those areas often end up moving to nicer ones in pursuit of services, infrastructure, entertainment and/or work. Detroit was almost 100% white at the start of the 20th century and it became 15-20% by the end of it. How did it happen? The Great Migration was the cause. Now it's a land of food deserts and abandoned neighborhoods. After the host city is ruined by crime, everyone who is able to do so leaves for greener pastures and the cycle repeats itself.

We as a society need to:

1. Realize these terrorists will kick and scream if your reaction is anything other than to lie down and die like they ask

2. Punish them more severely for engaging in criminal activity

3. Ideally, find the people funding this and bring them to justice

I still wonder what the DA's gameplan was with restricting it. And, did he intentionally show only the footage from an angle that hid the pills in Floyd's mouth from the press? Cause we had several versions of the derp-face floyd but only this latest shot from the judge shows the very, very obvious pills in his mouth.
Show the angles that try to prove the cop was directly responsible for George dying. Anything about drugs in his system pales in comparison of a knee to the neck.

Can these people please operate in the realms of reality for five minutes?

More seriously, what the fuck is Antifag hoping to accomplish now? Pushing Drumpf to a Reagan landslide?
Force Trump out of office by any means neccesary. Impeachment wasn't taking him out, and Trump's too prideful to resign, so they feel revolution is the ONLY way. Some people are secretly hoping Trump invokes the Insurrection Act.

I genuinely wonder what it will be like looking back at this year in say, five years. I'm not even personally involved in these riots (unless seeing people on my social media bullshit about it counts), but it's affected my philosophy and worldview a LOT. What kind of documentaries will there be? What will the political landscape look like? Maybe it's the history major in me but I'm following this closely so I can remember it really well.
They'll see this year as a year where the younger generation took the charge for social justice (which people are painting it as right now), the youth taking the charge in the revolution against the orange tyrant. A year that hadn't seen the younger demographics be this charged for an election season since 2008.

Number three is never going to happen.

As for creating enclaves for the lawless? Any one who wants to move out of them needs to pass an immigration test.

Do you understand why its wrong to steal?
Do you understand the concept of law and order?
So on and so on. If they fuck up? Back to the enclave they go.

I've been thinking more about it. Unfortunately, I think the solution for the wealthier cop zones is to simply get more draconian than what is typical for America right now. If you are in a cop zone and you cause trouble, if you disturb the peace, you get dealt with minimal oversight and harsh sentencing. You're the one who is liable, because you opted to be in the cop zone.

Also, less laxity for new arrivals and immigrants to cop zones.

Isn't it amazing what cops can do when they aren't hamstrung?

This Portland rioter got arrested so many times, the cops know her by name.

When cops can recognize protestors by name, does that mean things lose their intensity?

There's a general feeling of burnout, and the Democrats are starting to realize that this is bad optics. Even ol' Joe Biden was forced to acknowledge that the two deputies shot and killed yesterday was appalling. The smart people, the people with the money, are backing off. The useful idiots won't stop though.
There's also talks of people going to DC and occupying it to ensure Trump is no longer president at the end of 1/20/21.

I don't love Trump in any way. People on my social media might think I do because I hate their SJW nonsense. But damn if I had a nickel for every time they posted an actually factual, backed up criticism of Trump's actions I'd be...well, I'd still be mostly broke. Like, I can agree his personality is annoying and there are likely some actual incompetent things here or there. But I see so many obviously bullshit posts about "orange man bad, he did every awful thing that ever happened in the world. Even things that aren't the president's responsibility" that my immediate reaction is "yeah sure." I don't see the republicans around me flying into a blind rage by seeing a Biden sign, but I sure do see the opposite.

If he wins the election (I would not be surprised) I will laugh my butt off. I don't care anymore.

I know we bring up the Nazi stuff, but seriously, this shit is resembling the Weimar Republic, unironically. Gaslighting, biased treatment, degeneracy let run rampant in spite of outcry, (Cuties) execution for alternative beliefs; this is scarily similar. No wonder Germany elected Hitler. Now we all personally understand the same feelings that allowed such a thing to happen. In the span of 4 months this stuff has made me encompass that "And then for no reason at all, Hitler was elected" meme. Good job, fags.
just remember that when the book burnings start, it's going to be the same books that natsoc germany burned.

I'm honestly amazed if this is the actual plan. How does that even work? Do they think federal agents would just sit there and let you occupy the capital for nothing?

Now's the time to actually use the guns you Americans are so fond of, I think.

Probably hoping the riots create their own martyrs at this point, it's the only way they can really regain control of the narrative. They've come too far now to just meekly go home, they need to keep doubling down until somewhere a cop gets too rough with or even kills someone that hits the exact right sympathy notes. So far they've gotten... the Kenosha Three which frankly are pretty bad optically but they doubled down on that anyway.

I don't see the White House Siege as something that will pan out. At a minimum, even the TDS riddled Daily Beast is skeptical.

Now the coverage from the right has resulted in a wave of death threats towards Adbusters; it left Adbusters editor Kalle Lasn considering whether the “siege” language and related promotional materials—including a photo illustration of the White House engulfed in smoke—were too intense.

“We’ve sort of changed our mind a little bit, and now we are going for a more benign, sort of a ‘play jazz’ type of strategy,” Lasn said. “My dream actually is to have thousands of jazz musicians all over America turning up and playing jazz all over the country for the next 50 days.”

...

It’s not clear how many people, if any, will answer Adbusters’ call and show up on Sept. 17—or whether the siege idea will be totally ignored by Washington-area activists, many of whom have already been protesting for the Movement for Black Lives outside the White House since late May.

And while the White House Siege has been set for the White House-adjacent Lafayette Park, that area has been blocked off for months after Black Lives Matter protests. A spokesperson for the National Park Service told The Daily Beast that the group does not have a protest permit.

But while the protest may never actually materialize to much, it has already been portrayed as a powerful, ominous movement in right-wing media.

...

The “siege” part of the White House siege appears to be mostly a metaphor—and not just because it’s difficult to imagine Washington’s local and federal law enforcement officials allowing protesters to threaten the White House.

The White House Siege Brought to you by Adbusters (TM) may in fact be a nothingburger :(

No I think their objectives have changed.

Now they are setting fires and targeting livestock. The goal now is to kill possible trump voters via indirect and discret means.

They really want the Insurrection Act to be invoked,

Well, from what I've heard, the left's main concern is that Trump won't concede in the event of an election loss, and just not entertain the transfer of power. They want to make sure that happens.

Unfortunately, that will also never happen. How would you enforce that without building walls around major metros?

And that is exactly how countries such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore handle it. It's a proven system. Near 100% conviction rate = almost 0 crime.
