Regarding his second tweet... like what? The only thing I could think of is that most vtubers are open about their sexual deviancy, but anyone who watches vtubers already knows that that's part of the deal. Like usual Shaun relies on his gullible audience to treat his word like gospel and not do even 10 seconds of research themselves to find out that not only is political talk forbidden in vtuber streams, they also don't talk about MUH TROON RIGHTS! MUH IMMIGRANT RIGHTS! either.

Jack Saint can go on in defending the film but as a counter to what he says about Cuties, @sophnar0747 also took a stab at the film and noted that it did fuck up at how it tried to speak its message since its had scenes a pedo will still jack off to despite trying to make critiques on it such as with a dance competition. The girls do a dance that shocks and audience and both are shown which just makes the critique become a tasteless since it shows kids doing a inappropriate dance when the horrified crowd would be enough to give the idea.
There was one instance where they didn't get him some Wolverine toy. Beyond that? Who knows. I don't pay much attention to Xanderhal but I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it sound like its worse than what the reality is.
Shaun, it ain't really that deep. It's just someone using an anime girl as an avatar and saying whatever shit there is while playing a video game. I don't even watch vtubers but I feel like a part of me believes Shaun's just either bullshitting or exaggerating. I wouldn't be surprised if vtubers did speak about shit that could get a reaction but the most toxic reaction it gets could just be a handful.

I get the feeling they're only defending "Cuties" now because for a second people both left and right agreed it was terrible. But then twitter lefties saw an opportunity to create drama by suddenly claiming right-wingers weren't "truly understanding" the "real message" of the film.

It doesn't take much for these types. like Shaun and a lot of the people in his replies to just go mask off about wanting every foreign culture to get invested in American culture war stuff and get upset not everyone wants every media to be Breadtube with Breadtuber politics.
As others have pointed out, these people love beating up the strawman "Heh, stupid CHUDS think Japan is apolitical" when they see people enjoying anything from Japan, or anything at all because it isn't infected by Breadtube-style leftist culture. It's not about anything other than them being bitchy nerds who hate that people are having fun and try to spoil it for them because they aren't having fun in the "proper" way, which for Breadtube-leaning leftoids usually means "ironically appreciating" stuff they consider otherwise beneath them, like bad movies, or pro-wrestling or what have you that have become popular with the "pronouns in bio" DSA-types who use "y'all" and "folx" a lot

Is this nigga for real? The main appeal of a Vtuber is that they play video games but with an eye catching design and having a charismatic attitude that just focuses on the game and none of the gay bullshit that's going on in the real world. The main reason VTubers managed to get a large enough Western audience where there are now ones that speak only english is because a lot of people made translated highlight reels of their streams and there are some where they translate the streams in their entirety. Not to mention there's multiple accounts on Twitter that focus on specific funny moments from Vtuber streams in general or very specific VTubers like Korone.

Even for all of the Breadtubers and their followers going on how shit like DBZ can be political because a villain was based off real estate agents or how some sneaky game by a Japanese developer that loves movies is political because control of information, the political shit weebs are talking about would more likely be not having soapboxes coming when all the weeb wants is seeing some waifu throw energy balls out at a tentacle monster and playing a game where a man in a bandana manages to say "war bad" with enough grace that doesn't make it sound preachy, assuming weeb didn't skip cutscenes that drone on about nukes with legs and how they actually were a front.
Shaun has to get that clout. Why even bother knowing people can know what's being said from translated streams and highlights when you can rant on how there must be something political said by a vtuber who likely is just playing video games and not talking about their own life or politics.

Sorry for going "ACKSHULLY", but vtubers often talk about their lives, but it's not like it comes across as preachy. Usually it's either funny anecdotes that happened to them, or them talking about their hobbies or eating habits or their family or what kind of porn they want their fans to draw of them. You know, the usual topics. When they do talk about bad shit that happened in their life the idea isn't to get pitybux but to show that they had bad shit happen to them, but thanks from support from a friend or family member or whoever, they persevered. Them showing their personalities are a bigger draw for some people than watching a funny anime girl making funny anime noises while playing funny games.

I can admit to not watching vtubers since I don't see much appeal in watching 99.9% of all the streamers out there. That said with vtubers and life, I'd assume it'd be talking about shit that's like "woe is me, my parents didn't get me X" or "lel, I owned some cuck chud today with FACTS and LOGIC" that could all be used for pitybux and clout. Then again, as I said, I don't see much appeal in watching streamers and this can go for something besides vtubers like Vaush, Sargon, and the like. Still, the fact a vtuber talks about life without soapboxing or REEEEEing about the chuds or how the West is becoming more degenerate makes them sound a hell of a lot more appealing than a breadtube streamer playing Minecraft while going on how it could be pure colonialism or some alt-right sperg playing some loli hentai game while screeching on how the West is degenerate because of black penises.

Japan has basically been ruled by the same political party uninterrupted since war. The people in power after the war are coincidentally the same people who were in power before or during the war.
Even when the non conservatives win, politics is usually for a specific upper class of japanese society, very few influential japanese politicians are from the lower classes.
The media in Japan is not the champagne socialists of Hollywood. When japanese creators and actors open their mouths it's something very conservative more often than not.
Vtubers are idols and fake their persona to suit the tastes of their audience. Either that or a surprising amount of japanese women like lolis and women. Although my bet is they know what their audience like, and know the reaction they get by shipping themselves with other vtubers and talking about loli henta.
