Also, why would BLM post pictures of George Floyd as Jesus Christ? Aren't Marxists supposed to hate Jesus? (And those members of BLM who are Christians - wouldn't altering a picture of a man to look like Jesus be considered blasphemy? ) Or am I just being an idiot when I expect leftists to be logically consistent?
And for the actual BLM 'Christians' the Religious Left plays by its own set of rules.
I suppose it depends on the denomination and local politics. Christians in liberal areas are often encouraged to vote for candidates with equally-liberal values even if the most basic beliefs of their faith dictate otherwise. Also, there are liberal Christians who literally pick and choose what parts of their religion they want to follow -- logical consistency be damned. I believe the terms "Cafeteria Christian/Catholic" is what describes such people.
Hopefully the Dems see the folly in this garbage and endorse more sane DAs.
That may be a bit optimistic. In my county, the incumbent Democratic county prosecutor who had a decent enough reputation for getting the job done was primaried by someone running on a platform that includes eliminating bail for many (if not all) crimes similar to what we see in Portland where violent protestors are being released on their own recognizance only to go out and violently protest or commit more crimes as soon as they rejoin their comrades. Equally horrifying is that another such person ran against Wayne County (Detroit's county) prosecutor Kym Worthy. Fortunately, Worthy was respected enough by voters and she defeated her primary challenger.
They have long ago, there is now a movement for SocJus Math, and in Comp Sci even before <<current year>> I had many profs who would give most of their attention to the women in the class because "girl power" or "girls in STEM!" or some shit, hindering any one who actually needed extra help (due to disabilities and what have you)
Trends have definitely shifted over time. Although the university I attended would have loved to have more women pursuing CIS degrees, they hadn't yet fawned over themselves to get more female CIS students at all costs. Most importantly, though, the females that did study CIS -- especially those in both my Senior Seminar course and my graduating class -- actually
wanted to pursue CIS and had the drive and aptitude to succeed in the field.
Today, it seems like females are being pushed into STEM more so that diversity folks can crow about the raw number of females pursing those fields even if the students in question might not necessarily want to pursing a STEM-related degree or might lack the knowledge or background that ensures success. It's as if females being encouraged to pursue STEM in $CURRENT_YEAR are seen as little more than warm bodies that satisfy some sort of quota that universities can use as a bragging point. Once again, the focus seems to be on diversity for diversity's sake.
Lancaster rioters held on $1million bail for each of nine of the peaceful rioters, $100k for another. None of the bail paying charities has shown up to post it for them.

literally in tears here.
If they're being charged Federally, I'll stand behind my previous comment that Freedom Funders and the NLG may be trying to avoid any sort of run-in with Federal authorities. If these are state or local charges, then I expect more people to try the crowdfunding route we've already seen until whomever is bankrolling the freedom funds can once again replenish their
slush funds bail money and send someone to spring the rioters free for the next protest wherever it may be.
Jesus, white leftists and some black people think the "Nazis" are bad, they ought to listen to a 72 year old black man go on a rant about niggers once.
The thing is, Black people in that age group would be born in the late 1940s -- an era where these same people still lacked the most basic of civil rights and dealt with oppression, prejudice, and even hate in the truest sense and definitions of those words. Black activists from the current year that cry about oppression -- especially those born after the civil rights era -- live a far more privileged life than their relatives that lived prior to the 1960s ever did.
So, it's no surprise that these older Black men would have disdain for the younger generation that would rather squander countless opportunities for self-betterment in favor of a life of free government gibs and online slacktivism featuring endless social media posts about oppression and White privilege.
