It's none of those, they gave up. Whatever Ralph sent them as proof of the pregnancy is enough for them and realized this isn't just Faith being a rebellious child but her actually throwing her life away for some dumb reason.

I think this is unfortunately the best possible outcome. Faith destroyed her own life as soon as she hit adulthood and the Vickers needed to cut their loses. I was one of the sappy fags hoping for a good ending to this but now I think it's time to be pragmatic. They still have 4 other children they need to take care of and those should be the priority. Those feelings of loss will never go away but I'm hoping they have the familial strength to persevere. My heart goes out to the Vickers.

That's honestly the smartest move they can make. Once kids turn 18, they get to leave the nest and be total dumbasses. That the Vickers don't like that fact doesn't make it not a fact. They really don't have any legal means to make Faith come back to them. It's still debatable whether they have anything on Ralph.

Ralph's threat that they'll never see their grandchild is bullshit. This relationship is not going to last. She'll wise up eventually, or he'll go back to prison, or something.

The only truly sad thing is that their grandchild is going to be half Gunt and half bipolar dumbass. Probably have one or more birth defects too. But if they're honestly Christian, as they claim, I would presume they'll try their level best to raise it. God be with them.

If he did things your way, though, spot's owners would have a more personal reason to keep him banned and their'd be no reconciling. He values making money over pretending to be a badass.
