It does highlight the issue that society's solution to unfit mothers is to subsidize them.

The reality of this situation is that the Democrats have absolutely nothing to bargain with, and have resorted to nothing more than overt threats and temper tantrums if we don't give them what they want.

This is why the reaction was immediate and visceral, because there are no legitimate arguments to be made. They didn't try to reason, they didn't try to offer up alternatives or find a middle ground, they jettisoned themselves straight into overt threats before Ginsberg even finished assuming room temperature because they know there's absolutely nothing they can do about this other than to hope that they intimidate people. It's a tacit admission that their politics are meaningless.

Welcome to the death of your political aspirations. There won't be any bargaining because you have nothing we want.

No, not necessarily. I just know I would revile any nominee put forward by Biden's camp. I emphasize Biden's camp and not Biden himself, because I doubt he calls the shots. Whichever group calling the shots would just pick someone as far left as possible to counter Trump's nominees. By far left, I mean someone who probably puts the US Constitution is the same category as Mein Kampf.
