White women are so insanely out of touch with the world on certain things. No joke, I heard my daughters friends talking how "Black people just understand and are more open to things like pro-choice, women's rights and rights for LGBT" and I was just just couldn't help but laugh.
How does it compare to the pregnancy rate? It could just be that white women are on the pill and therefore don't show up in the abortion statistics.I found an interesting graph of abortions per year by race in the US. It's not at all what you'd expect

Though if you think about it it does make a certain amount of sense - it would be white liberals who had abortions in the 70s and 80s. What's interesting is that the white abortion numbers then fell to matc the black abortions numbers, despite these demographics (archive)

I.e. white people are 63% of the population and blacks 13 but despite that, they have about the same number of abortions. So the black abortion rate per capita is higher. It looks like the Hispanic rate is higher too.
I'm in two minds over the whole abortion thing, to be honest. My tendency is to sympathize with the right, but I don't honestly see it as being as big priority as they do.
A valid criticism. What would we call his husband if he got in? First Man? FACK off. Both groups are out of touch with who they claim to be allied with.
I remember one of my black friends’ grandfather said that Pete Bootyboy seemed like the perfect candidate for president because he was young, healthy, a military man and seemed to know what he’s talking about.
But he’s gay.
That was the sole thing that kept him from voting for Pete and instead moving to Crusty Joe.
Trump news: Obama warns democracy at risk as president pushes to nominate right-wing justice before election
View attachment 1608150
Barack Obama has warned US democracy is at risk if Republicans press ahead with plans to fill the Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Her death just over six weeks before US election day is likely to trigger a fierce battle over whether President Donald Trump should nominate her replacement at the highest court in America, or if the seat should remain vacant until the result of the race in November against Democratic challenger Joe Biden is known.
In a statement, Mr Obama said: “A basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what’s convenient or advantageous in the moment. The rule of law, the legitimacy of our courts, the fundamental workings of our democracy all depend on that basic principle.”
ITT: women demonstrate that they cant argue with men without resorting to just calling them incels
How hard is it to not have unprotected sex? Is it that hard? Maybe keep your legs closed if it's too hard for you to take a pill, get a shot, get an IUD or learn to insert a diaphragm. And condoms are sold everywhere and given away for free.So why does everyone hate her so much other than butthurt over women being able to safely abort fetuses?
Of course they think this, they think they are the true good guys, that their opponents are literally fascists, and therefore, as logically follows, the only way for things to calm down is for them to win.Trying to talk to people about why court packing online is just not worth it. They actually think escalation will calm down the country.
Because is sorta is.
It's Ruth Bader Ginsberg who died and is being replaced not Antonin Scalia, so that's more activating for the left than right for starters. The right technically holds the majority although Roberts kinda a liberal so there's that although it's more minor. Ginsberg had a cult of personality, so it's more activating than any other Justice other than someone like Scalia.
Yes, Trump has managed to get many of the people who were wary on his side already, but this will get people who wouldn't have voted for him, or who thought he probably had it in the bag mobilized. Most importantly, people already are excited to vote for Trump. Nobody is excited to vote for Joe Biden, but they are excited to vote for / appoint the next Ginsberg. Trump and McConnell have to ram this through before the election. Hell of an October Surprise.
*And the current president isn't a term limited lame duck."It's not hypocritical because this time the Senate & Presidency are held by the same party"-Cocaine Mitch, seriously.
You can fuck off Obongo. You had your turn so STFU.In a statement, Mr Obama said: “A basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what’s convenient or advantageous in the moment. The rule of law, the legitimacy of our courts, the fundamental workings of our democracy all depend on that basic principle.”
Unless he somehow digs up an older, qualified version of Nick Fuentes and convinces the party to vote for him.I really don't understand this fucking meltdown people are having... I mean, it's not a surprise and it's highly expected this would happen, but I wonder if these people are aware that their lives aren't gonna change one bit even if Trump nominates a hardcore conservative. Conservatives have no intention to hurt or remove any right that lgbts or anyone has, at the moment. The only thing that can change could be that someone they don't like it's gonna be in power, and that doesn't really affect them beyond hurting their egos.
OTOH, I really don't think they're as sad and hurt as they claim. They say so, but it's very likely all histrionics. It's an automatic response to lose something they think they're entitled to, in the same way a spoiled child does when their parents say "no". I'm certain that a few are probably even mad that she died.
I'm sorry sir, this is Kiwifarms not Reddit. It's sad to see the cheering of this woman's death bordering on bloodlust. Is it good that she's gone? Sure, that's fair; throw your party and go crazy, but isn't a little irksome to specifically celebrate the death of another compassionate human being?
Advance that out, the Boomers and Generation X have Scotus picks as one of their BIGGEST draws. These groups vote -overwhelmingly- conservative. the Xennials have it as a fairly high one to, but split closer to evenly. Meanwhile, the Millenials and Gen Z... barely have Scotus on their radar, and are the primary Democrat voters.Do you think that people really buy into the whole "The Court must be balanced" Horseshit? I started listening to news a week or two before the last election after taking the year long break. "He will get SCOTUS picks" is one of the absolute major issues that got Religious people who were sort of "meh" on him driven to vote.
Yes, Trump has managed to get many of the people who were wary on his side already, but this will get people who wouldn't have voted for him, or who thought he probably had it in the bag mobilized.
There are a good amount of people on both sides of the aisle who are SCOTUSonly tards and think the SCOTUS is the only issue that truly matters.
