It's mainstream, and acceptable, yes - radical Communist action there is normalized as justice in response to the historical guilts of Germans, and the far-right is so heavily suppressed it makes America look like the most hospitable safe haven for every bit of the fucking far-right you can imagine.

Also wise to remember antifa is far older in Europe, and far more well-established - the American trend picking up here is still a young thing; "antifa", in name, in Europe goes as far back as the 30's.

See, I was talking to a friend who's family live in Ghana, she's in my country for College, and she said the only time she's cringed harder is when her parents crack out the baby photos of her to her boyfriends. It also struck me that she found it embarrassing, but she was pissed off that, in her words "someone who's never being there is getting all turned on by it. Easy to fetishise what you don't know".

I can't say I relate exactly to how she feels, I've no dog in this particular fight, but she's really chill, dead mild-mannered, and I'd never heard her pissed off before like that. It was kinda unnerving, to know that someone banging on about muh blackness, such kahween, muh Africa, etc, is pissing off actual Africans, from Africa, and they're completely oblivious to it,

Seems like you can report incidents. They have a list of major cities to look at, and an option to use your current address. There's nothing going on when I look at my town so that's good I guess? But the city an hour or two a way has several. Including "woman exposing herself" and "shirtless man wielding a machete." Sounds about right.

It's probably better for cities due to more people that actually report things.

How is that really any different than Al-Qaeda saying "get your troops out of Afghanistan or we'll blow people up"? The only difference is how competent the terrorists are. When Al-Qaeda or ISIS says some shit like that, you treat it as a genuine threat because those guys are somewhat skilled in carrying out violence. the problem is that at lot of people confuse restraint with weakness, similar to the "we go high" attitude". people get a lot of leeway and they can chimp out, same way a parent lets you throw a tantrum and not slap you around the second you open your mouth, but overdo it and the belt comes off. then you either learn to keep your tantrums in check or have chronic problems with sitting.
society at large is a lot more tolerant in that regard, since most people are aware it's necessary for simple co-existence, but when it takes it's belt off it tends to get real ugly. it wouldn't be the first time history repeating itself...

Is the picture in their post not of the shooter? Because if it is he's clearly black. No idea on the race of the victims, or if racially motivated but in this atmosphere...

It's pretty worrisome that you could be doing fine and living your life, and then some random person you don't know just walks up and shoots you or someone you love for some bullshit reason.

I think that was more a political rally, that's why all the boomers are there.

antifa is still chimping out regularly, although it has died down quite a bit so it mostly happens on a small scale that doesn't get much traction and news coverage, and police tend to nip it in the bud real quick.
usually they try to start shit around first of may (international workers day) or special occasions like opening of the central bank in frankfurt.

also wouldn't be surprised if the influx of new germans has a calming influence. they share the same low-income areas, and you can probably guess how antifags fare versus a pack of "germans with immigration background"
