Had some battles with my new friend @Monika H.
Looking forward to keep playing. Next game i don't play, if anyone is interested we can do some análisis of the match
I learned back in Elementary with some losers who were very nerdy, they were very into Chess and Pokemon and I took the chance of learning it, I forgot mostly everything from that time, especially about Chess so @Monika H. had to reteach me, shit's been a wild ride.Question: If you can do so without powerleveling, how did you all learn? For me, it was actually in elementary school. On days when it was raining and we couldn't have recess outside, some kids brought chess boards and we all taught each other - it wasn't a formal club or part of the school curriculum or anything. (This was back before Game Boys, much less smartphones.) Because of that I haven't really had any formal lessons or learned things like standard openings or whatever a "French defense" is, which is certainly to my detriment, but I remember being at least halfway decent against those kids in my school. I wonder if kids still play chess on rainy days at that school or if it was just a Tamagotchi-like fad.
I mostly played it at home with my sisters, let it go for some years and picked it up again with that woman who became my wife, tho we don't play much nowadays.Question: If you can do so without powerleveling, how did you all learn? Damn Monika, I thought you were straight! You should ask her to pick it up again and play together, could be a nice date idea.I mostly played it at home with my sisters, let it go for some years and picked it up again with that woman who became my wife, tho we don't play much nowadays.
She was the one who approached me!Damn Monika, I thought you were straight! You should ask her to pick it up again and play together, could be a nice date idea.
Lmao, dang it, Monika! She was the one who approached me!
Maybe I'll propose her to play game in those days I'll be home. With the baby right behind the corner, those'll probably be the last days of quiet we'll have for a while lol.
Gifted kids program at school. Elementary kids got to have some extra fun so they taught us chess and I got extra practice from my dad.Question: If you can do so without powerleveling, how did you all learn? Well damn, that's nice to hear, I've always wanted to have children but was really never up to the idea of it, I hope everything goes well!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it goes well as I stated beforehand, you deserve all the happiness in the world, Monika! Thanks!
Yes, it's all well. We were a bit afraid at first because our first (accidental) try didn't end well, but now it's all good and we can't wait for the magic day!
