One: The YT copyright system is not broken, it is actually working as fucking intended. You see, the copy strike system for YT is not there to protect creators it is there to protect YT. If YT left videos up after people made a copyright claim to them then YT would be liable for any damages should the copyright claim be upheld in court because YT would in essence be making a determination that they believe the video is fair use. To put it in terms you can understand, it would be like seeing your buddy steal but not saying nothing only to get yourself arrested as an accomplice.

This is the biggest point right here. The way the law is written, it is assumed by companies like Twitter and YouTube that each and every DMCA takedown is legitimate, regardless of the validity of the claim. We all know that there is bullshit that happens, and these companies know it as well. It is very rare that they will become involved, and generally speaking it's only in extreme cases where it's a known troll or something else triggers them to get involved directly. The reason you have to provide all your information in a counternotification, including a way to be served legal paperwork, is because of the law and nothing else.

Is it abused? Absolutely. We've seen larger YouTubers abuse it to take down smaller creators that are critical of them (Suzy Lu). We've seen legacy media go after Steven Crowder, for example. It's being abused, but the way the law is written there is no wiggle room for YouTube on this issue. Does it suck? Sure. But the counternotification system, if implemented properly, gives the creator being targeted a way to fight back. Will it be used to dox people? Yes. Should there be penalties attached when a situation like that occurs? Absofuckinglutely, because at that point it's clear the DMCA wasn't for a legitimate reason and that's perjury.

Again, it's Pounder acting like a victim and nothing more.

So I've found some interesting details on the takedown story from what appears to be a credible source. These aren't confirmed, but if true, really makes Jeremy look bad.

If this is to be believed, an attempt was made to acquire permission to use the artwork before the strike took place and was declined. Whether it was by Jeremy editor's before the intro segment was even finalized or by Jeremy himself when the artist first raised their concerns to him three days ago, it appears there was indeed time on Jeremy's end to remove the artwork before the strike but simply chose to do nothing. Jeremy's response video reiterates several times that he would have removed the artwork if the artist had simply asked him, but this seems to contradict that entirely.

And we are also being told that Suppa has received death threats that are now saved in screenshots, likely caused in the wake of Jeremy's response video. The sad part here is that Jeremy probably knew this would happen when he made that video but didn't care. It's possible that he did all this in the hope of scaring the artist into dropping this entire thing so he can move on with his life. Ironically, this may have backfired on Jer if the artist actually takes this to court as the judge may not be so understanding at how Jeremy and his fans reacted. Needless to say, Jer chances of winning this aren't as guaranteed as the Matt Loter incident.

Hopefully we can get confirmation on these facts in the coming days and see some beneficial outcome for the artist to make up for this awful brigade.

Every content creator gets the analytics and statistics from Youtube. They released a unlisted video recently lauding the YT gaming community, in this video it was stated that alone this year 35 million gaming related channels worldwide had 50 billion watched hours. So yeah, YouTube is dying, sure, sure. Just because his viewcount is sinking like a rock doesn't mean YouTube is dying.
Also worth mentioning is that it is assumed that up to two third of all YouTube users have an adblocker running while watching YouTube videos.
