Probably a combination of short attention spans, thinking he was in the clear because he was initially cleared due to self-defense, and the turnaround came recently (this week?) when the news cycle was stuffed with other things.

Dating someone uglier than you are gives you a lot of power in the relationship. The uglier partner will be a lot more desperate to keep you around. I'm not a fan of uggos, and I really hate the stench of desperation, so I don't see the appeal, but I guess I can see why lonely or pathetic people would settle for that.

I did notice the part about him being found in PDX, I figured if it was confirmed he shot himself that it was rather immaterial where he was.

If he didn't shoot himself though...

I find it a massive, glowing cohen-cidence that police aren't openly seeking suspects for a man found dead outside clinic, who just recently got into a massively publicized altercation.

The location is what puts the suicide narrative into question for me. If he was going to just kill himself, why go all the way to Portland to do it?

I double checked because I sometimes get the middle states mixed up and Nebraska's like 3 states away from Oregon. Did he have family or relations in Portland? It's curious why he's there.

Also you're right, they don't say suicide do they? But they are not looking for suspects either. Like they said, it's still under investigation so I hope if there was foul play they figure something out. :optimistic: Either way I feel bad for the guy.

Not just Portland but bf nowhere in the Portland suburbs. You don't go to Hillsboro unless you live there, basically. It's where you live if you work at one of the tech companies, or you find a place there with better rent than a place in Beaverton. Or you are a short indio Hispanic with 12 children who works on farms farther out, though that is becoming an outdated stereotype.
