I actually looked at the stream out of curiosity, and he digs a fucking hole for three hours. Just a hole underground with ladders up one of the walls only ever using stone pickaxes.

Some chipmunk-faced man-child who makes "hot-goss" drama videos on washed-up YouTubers like it's anyone's business and puts YanDev's face in the thumbnail to poke his appearance, only to make YanDev look slightly more appealing by comparison. Like, the fucker is already late to the punch on doing this to cash in and he doesn't address any of the most damning claims made against Dev. All this will do is add new reddit-tier else-ifers into the mix so the fresh supply of weens doesn't dry up. Okay.

However, based on what we saw in his emails the plan pitched to 505 was roughly "release demo, bugfix for a month, then do crowdfunding". We're coming up on a month since the demo was released, crowdfunding was mentioned at the end of the demo...but otherwise, no real sign of it so far, other than this:
I wonder if Alex changed his pitch, 505 made him change his pitch, or if recent events have made 505 reconsider their partnership and Alex is on his own now.

If there is one thing I can agree with Alex on, its that these Youtubers who make "commentary" videos are opportunistic clickbaiters that just capitalize off of what we've or some other Youtubers already done. Fuck em.

The only videos that ever broke any ground on YanDev was Rommel's now-outdated mega-doc. and KappaKaiju's second YanDev video, which is also outdated now. Because of how YouTubers are, afraid to take a small financial hit, they won't talk about icky subjects if it isn't already being talked about en masse by the 50 billion other drama commentary channels that are out there. Until someone cuts the memey bullshit and actually releases something that can actually bring something new to the table, all YouTubers are just in this for profit alone.

This would be reasonable if it were an alpha tech release like 4 or 5 years ago.
He's just scrambling to do literally anything that looks like progress since he's got nothing to show, because he's done nothing for 5 years.
