"If children are old enough & emotionally mature enough to understand that heterosexual relationships exist, then they are old enough & emotionally mature enough to know the same about LGBTQ+ relationships". This is non-sequitur, like claiming that if children understand simple division they will understand polynomial division, or division by zero.
What Harrop says is even more ridiculous if you consider not even normal adults, who are mature enough to understand heterosexual relationships, know how to make head or tails about the multitude ways queers have their fun:
