Hell, a Trump win and a lost senate and an ambiguous house will completely castrate the executive, so it would be a bit reassuring to see the senate at least get a little more Republican.

Sure, rate me optimistic since I don't believe it myself, but after just the past year of doommongering and riots burning cities for months on end, with "mostly peaceful" protests, with constantly shifting goalposts with regards to Wu Flu, what if Trump wins the popular vote?

They'll use it as "evidence of fraud" and riot over it.

That's their entire post-election playbook if they lose: claim everything is evidence of fraud, then riot some more. They literally don't have a plan now that falsifying mail-in ballots is likely not going to fly on the SCOTUS.

I wish to preface this with "I really, REALLY doubt he'd get the popular vote". But, lets assume he DOES and examine that from their POV.

Their line of logic actually... does make sense. I could spend all days pointing out the flaws in its assumptions, but so long as you don't poke at those too hard it DOES have a throughline.

1: The majority of americans are the "Silent Followers". They exist soley to follow whoever is in power.
2: Those who vote are the "Attemptive Leaders", those who want to enforce their will on the Silent Followers.
3: The Silent Followers will only ever become Attemptive Leaders if they are 'convinced'of the 'right' way.
4: Ergo, whenever the Democrats win its because the Silent Followers follow them. If the Republicans win, it means the whole country follows them.

With this understood, it probably becomes VERY clear why they focus on the popular vote. They hold that THEY have the power of the Silent Followers and thus the -majority- of the entire -country-.

So, what does that mean if Trump wins the popular vote?

Well... it means that majority of the country, perhaps the overwhelming majority, are literal fascists. They are all ready to begin goosestepping to the beat.

Keep in mind the line of logic, they believe the majority of Americans SUPPORT them. When they loot? The majority totally support it. When they contravene law? The Majority wants it. Its how they justify it, its how they are -able- to do the doublethink. Because their foundational premise and logic, the core of their ideology, says that the majority of Americans WANT it.

And if they don't want it, if Trump wins the popular vote, the entire foundation of their ENTIRE belief is pulled out from under them.

Stop and consider what that means. There is no 'winning the argument', there is no violent action either. They are justified BECAUSE they have the popular vote. Without it, there is no justification. There is literally no future at that point because the only way their entire nihilistic ideology makes sense and doesn't end up in the whole world literally dying... is for them to have the popular vote.

Climate change? That'd continue. Black murders? Oh yes. Woman, gays, trans, and illegals will LITERALLY be sent to concentration camps. They honestly believe this, and the support of the 'majority' gives them the right to fight it.

So, if Trump wins the popular vote... whats the purpose in going on? American IS doomed, the WORLD is doomed.
