This just got me thinking, look at Mr Ron "I won on anti-SLAPP" Toye and Thicc Lasagna.

Vic: "I just want to work again and be left alone."
Ron: "YOU WILL BE DEALT WITH."

Between those two, who seems like the one more likely to file a frivolous, vengeful lawsuit?
If anything, KV can both continue Operation Broken Staircase and make an example of those who stand in their way. Ron really believes this is some bigger thing, and he’s some grand figure.

Lawtwitter is awful worked up for the fact that nothing's going to happen tomorrow and they're so sure that Vic is going to lose 0-17 on appeals anyway.

Look....just realistically, Vic is not going to lose 0-17 on the appeals. That isn't a realistic result. It'd be nice if Vic slam dunks 17-0 in appeals - and I do think that's a reasonable possibility - and it's much more likely he'll lose some causes and then keep some on all the people, but the idea that he won't keep even one on anyone? That's just not going to happen in any realistic situation. It would require all three judges, who include people that have ruled on TCPA before, to pull a Chupp and say "oh no this is too confusing, I don't want to try" and just throw everything out. Even Chupp didn't give reasons for his decisions, because he didn't have any - just 'oh no this is a mess I don't understand, get it off my docket' - and that's really the only way to end up throwing out everything on everyone.

Anyone who confidently says that Vic will lose 100% of his appeal (especially if they also think somehow Chupp was perfect except where he didn't award enough to MoRon) is either stupid or lying. Simple as.
I needed this post. Dammit I wanna believe.

He does look tired and thin....

The MJ connection is exactly what I felt right away. I didn't really know Vic at all when I saw his apology at Bak Anime last year. That's was basically my introduction to him other than FMA 03.

When I saw a soft spoken man talking about spreading love and kindness and that's all he wanted to do I saw Michael and it threw me to my core. I loved MJ very much and have never gotten over his death.

After the video I cried and I don't do that for strangers. I was NOT going to watch this happen again and that's why I will support this man as long as I can and as best I can.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; Even if the lawsuit is lost we won a life.
Let's be real: @giraffes on coffee is the only good soul in this forum full of bitter autists. Lol.

At 49 minutes, Tiffany said they asked her to return as Bulma for Battle of Gods, and she was all for it, but she asked if they were going to give her financial support to get back to Dallas or not. And they never called her back to give her an answer.

Goddamn it, it was just a question, not a demand. :stress:
I recall Schemmel and Sabat talking about how Funimation would help Schemmel out on flying from New York to Texas to voice Goku when he was a struggling down-on-his-luck musician. And at that time the company was not the huge success that they would become. I get the sense (and not just from hearing this) that Volmer is not part of their clique.

I truly wanna believe that once upon a time, Funimation and its people were good, down to earth people with good intentions that had passion for what they did. I think that, somewhere along the way, they lost sight of that amongst all the hero worshipping, virtue signalling, trying to be too PC, and conforming to the liberal Hollywood mindset.

Giraffes just makes everything better.

It's understandable to temper your expectations because appeals are (usually) an uphill battle and Vic's been burned by an unfair and incompetent judge once before, but assuming 0-17 is IMO as bad as just assuming it'll be 17-0 and kicked past Chupp straight into discovery again. And considering how quick lawltwitter was to race in and damage control by wanking in their little circlejerk about how I was wrong about that? You can take it to mean it's all the more likely I'm right.

But didn't you know, Geico Lawyer thinks Vic will 100% lose everything.

You mean the same lawyer that used his real name and realized he may have been towing the "unethical" line according to the Aussie court system. Then upon realization switched to an "anime avatar" to try and cover his ass?

They'd cart Schemmel around but not...a woman who is actually grateful for the opportunity?

Huh, I think there's a word for that....it gets thrown around a little too often but I do feel in the case of these hypocrites it checks out.

After Squally talked to Emmett about her communications with Vic, someone tried to log into her twitter account.

Suddenly, Emmett claims the same thing happened to him (without posting evidence).

Here’s the biggest thing i have noticed during this whole thing. the character of those involved.emmet tried to act like a somebody and no one knows who he is.
Squally claims to be a nobody, yet she gets named by the Chad In the deposition and everyone is ready to defend her.
