So i noticed a fair amount of "the killstream used to be good" posts opining a lost age of the killstream. I have to ask your qualifications, do you mean the show was good or that it was able to have amazing moments? Imo if you mean the former i think youre looking with rose colored glasses as the show itself was always god awful, the only saving grace was they could book or facilitate or not prevent moments that made the mind numbing boredom that was the majority of the program endurable. Even then a good chunk of people including myself just waited for clips and highlights most of the time instead.
The only killstream that i remember that was good as a whole, and because of the hosts and not in spite of, was the Baked stream. That was just because the impromptu nature of it meant ethan could be forgiven for not having any preparation or not having anything too interesting to add himself. Other than that, which i might be looking at with a filter too, i have never once sat through a whole killstream just for the killstream its alway been a draw, then they show it then i bounce
I prefer streams when personalities that we know or care about or are utter nutcases being on the show and going at each other. The most recent which can be considered entertaining is when MrGirl showed up. Dingo whom we thought Ralph had burnt bridges with showed up and had bloodsports with MrGirl.
Crazy callers like a certain Blu who likes to call up with tall tales of him being shot in the crotch by some Somalian and Kenny Jones with his obsession with a certain egirl being interviewed and grilled by the panel makes for a good show too.
I also prefer streams where they cover how internet famous people screw up like Mumkey Jones and Bunty King. So if Ethan Ralph cloned himself and his clone did stream where he laughed and mocked Ralph, I'd tune in.
Quite liked it when they streamsniped Mundanematt and Signore. It was hilarious watching the stream mocking Mundanematt and Signore (who then white knighted for him only to regret it later) in real time.
I will never tire of saying this. If Ralph burns bridges with everyone from his former friends and associates, potential guests and even callers, then we won't have Killstreams like these.
Notice that it isn't really Ralph carrying the show. It is the nutcases and freakshows that feature on his show.
