Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

A few days late to post it, but there was an interesting bit in that Serbia-Kosovo peace deal. Turns out there's a lake in Kosovo that's been under dispute for decades. It lies 80% in Kosovo but 20% in Serbia, so they have an ongoing dispute over its ownership. Even the name is disputed; Kosovo calls it Lake Ujman, the Serbs call it Gazivoda, and the two sides refuse to acknowledge the other's labels.

So as a compromise, it will now be called Lake Trump.

Lake Trump.jpg
An idea that started as a joke for the Ujman Lake, which Serbs refer to as Gazivoda, to find a compromise name seems to be taking shape. During the negotiations at the White House, the US Presidential envoy for the dialogue, Richard Grenell, gave the idea to name the lake after Trump.

Initially everybody laughed with the idea. But not today. Gazeta Express has learned that Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti expressed his readiness to support Grenell’s idea at a meeting with him. The same idea was endorsed also by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at another meeting.

The debate, and later the Agreement, about Ujman Lake have triggered a wave of reactions in Kosovo. Kosovo has reached an agreement with the US for the State Department to carry out a feasibility study on how to share the lake’s resources.

The Ujman/Gazivoda Lake is mostly located in Kosovo’s territory but almost 20 percent of it is part of Serbia’s territory. This artificial lake was accumulated decades ago by the “Iber Lepenci” company, back when Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia. After the end of the war in 1999, there was a lot of tension caused about the lake as Kosovo considers it as its own property, while Serbia claims its ownership since part of it is in Serbia.

It sounds like a stupid squabble, but it's actually a useful solution, and both sides seem glad to solve the issue without losing face. Kosovo's PM even tweeted about it.

What even is the culture war anyways? Just wanted to ask. Especially when Trump is apparently us involved somehow, I don't even know at this point. There's too much stuff happening. And of course the left wants to make 1984 a reality, jesus christ I hate the left so much.

The culture war is when the left declares certain ideas to be required to be believed in, forbidden from being discussed, etc. They're demanding control over the culture and subcultures.

And for a very long time, the right had fallen for controlled opposition tactics, and decided to just let them have it.

You HAVE to believe that Diversity is our Strength, open borders are great for everyone not living in Israel, and that White People are Inherently Racist and can NEVER earn forgiveness for this fact. You aren't allowed to believe men and women should save themselves for marriage and that the proper place for a woman is at home helping raise the family, or god forbid that Homosexuality is a sin and that maybe you shouldn't have to bake the cake, bigot. And if you think that lesbians shouldn't have to suck a "feminine penis" then you're a TERF and should be prohibited from being seen in public ever again. More recently, you HAVE to believe that the police are literally gunning massive amounts of innocent blacks down in the street for literally no reason and poor dindus never do nuffin, the gentle and noble pavement apes that they are.

It's a war for control of the culture of the United States (or West in general, really). Their beliefs and ideas -- their culture -- are sacrosanct, your beliefs are fungible at best, hate crimes at worst. Every state must be California, every city must be Portland, because that's what the left likes and they know better than you how to live your life.

This is because sometime around 2008 the epistemic closure in the left became terminal -- but not before the DSA types got a foothold -- and the left generally decided that everyone not the left were stupid, bigots, and above all else, evil.

And you don't negotiate or learn from evil, you destroy evil wherever and whenever you can.

What if Trump wins the popular vote?

Sure, rate me optimistic since I don't believe it myself, but after just the past year of doommongering and riots burning cities for months on end, with "mostly peaceful" protests, with constantly shifting goalposts with regards to Wu Flu, what if Trump wins the popular vote?

If Trump wins the popular vote, the Dems will state "Popular vote does NOT make someone president." Despite the fact that they have stated that the popular voted candidate should be the one who's president. Hence why they really pushed the fact that Hillary won "the popular vote."

In the end it's hypocrisy because either way the Dems are going to refuse that Trump won a second time. They hate him so much, that they are willing to have Trump supporters killed and claiming it's "their fault." They are willing to sentence Trump Supporters to jail without a second thought. Their delusion of madness is what really is driving America apart. They however, don't see it that way. Because in their eyes Trump is a "Nazi-Dictator whose going to take away our freedom."

Which if that was the case most if not half of the people who spoke against him would either be dead or in jail.

Also FYI: Threatening the president of the United States is a federal felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the president of the United States".

Meaning that the stupid people on facebook or twitter calling for the act of shooting Trump, should be arrested cause it's against the law.

It’s an interesting side effect of identity politics: anything good is 100% good and anything bad is 100% bad. It’s why George Floyd is a saint even though he pointed a gun at pregnant women, and Trump is an evil dictator even though he’s literally ending decades long conflict. It’s also why the media can NEVER let Trump have a win on anything; acknowledgement that he did something good would mean that he’s not 100% bad, and thus the narrative would start to crumble.

also I know that DSA is Democrat Socialists of America but I always read it as dick-sucking assholes. Is it just me?

Wait, so some guy with no proof alleged that Trump said bad stuff about the troops behind closed doors and this lead to calls for him to be removed as Commander in Chief?

Joe Biden calls troops stupid bastards to their faces, on camera, and he is considered to be the man that will save the US from Trump?

You're not getting this.

Orange man BAD.

BAAAAAD.

That means everything he does is BAD. And by the associative property, that means everything his opponents do is GOOD.

It was a good thing when Joe Biden forced Tara Reade against the wall and literally grabbed her by the pussy when he sexually assaulted her, at least for now, because he is GOOD. Conversely, it's INFINITELY WORSE -- that is, literally BAD -- that Trump made a "grab'm by the pussy" joke that translates to "Heh, Gold Digging Whores exist, amiright?" when in private with a comedian known for blue humor.

Orange Man BAD. Everything he does is BAD. There is no "Sorta Bad" or "Kinda Bad" or "Half Bad." ABSOLUTE BAAAAD. And conversely, everything the left does is ABSOLUTE GOOD, or DID NOT HAPPEN, or was done by someone who was NO TRUE LEFTIST.

Interestingly enough, I haven't heard anything from that since Reade spoke up.

I guess this whole Believe All Women movement felt flat on his face.

Saw some #NeverTrump Republican whining about how Trump's "cult of personality" had, he feared, permanently dragged the party to the left because the "reality TV idiots" thought he was the only real conservative.

Shit like that is hilarious because these are the people who have been so deluded by tribalism that they thought the mainstream Republican party was actually conservative. I've said it before that Trump is at best a New York conservative, but even then if anything he's dragged the party to the right because on the conservative stances he has, he actually has them as opposed to just claiming them for political points.

Even if the renaming is kind of a joke solution, its a useful solution because it takes a lot of tension out of the whole debate. Its hard to really hate a dude when you're both sharing a laugh over needing to rename a lake after Trump because you were both so autistic about the name. Its a brilliant little piece of social engineering that deflects and dissipates some of the escalation that has precluded permanent diplomatic solutions.

It also doesn't even have to be named after Trump, it can be named something else entirely. Break the tension with a joke and once everyone is done laughing they can agree on a more serious name separate from the other claims.

How or where is that money going to be handled? Trump already froze federal aid for cities involved in riots. Many of which involve a Black population.

And declaring the KKK as terrorism, isn't he late for that?

If he's doing what I think he's doing, its brilliant.

Depending on how you want to count things, we're on our 3rd or 4th KKK. The original KKK was officially disbanded by Nathan Bedford Forrest when the organization he founded to chase a white man out of Tennessee was being used to terrorize people who had nothing to do with getting fucking yankees out of the south, and declared an illegal organization. Individual Klaverns disobeyed the order and went under ground until the 1900s, where there was massive resurgenced until the 1940s when a combination of WWII and internal corruption caused the organization to implode and go back underground until the 1960s; at this point the real threat to the KKK was legal. This precludes any centralized national leadership. So the KKK now exists as small independent organizations; there is no national leadership to go after, despite the fact these individual small orgs are collaborating and in a few cases dissolving and reforming when legal issues arise to frustrate any attempts to take assets and disrupt operations.

This is how a lot of extremist orgs operate in the modern US landscape,.

I believe Trump is going to debut a some sort of RICO-type classification, to go after nation-wide small-cell extremist orgs and treat them all as the same org. I don't know if he'll be debuting something to try and disrupt operations, or just declare membership illegal and bar members from federal service. Trump is going after the KKK because he's really going after Antifa - both will use the same tactics, but since he's going after the KKK, that means that if any Democrat opposes this action they are going to be coming out as FOR the KKK right before an election.

Now, the 1990s Democrats could have fought him on this on civil liberties grounds, but not today's batch, not when they've repeatedly made it clear your rights end where a protected person's feelings begin.

It also doesn't even have to be named after Trump, it can be named something else entirely. Break the tension with a joke and once everyone is done laughing they can agree on a more serious name separate from the other claims.

Exactly. Its probably a situation Trump has been in before in the private sector, where two other players are butting their ego-inflated heads over some irrelevant detail to the point where nothing is getting done. I think his experience as a business tycoon has been extremely influential in his diplomatic success as president. Not because he 'runs the country like a business!' or some other shit, but because his life has been about getting results. Most politicians don't want to actually solve problems because that would be one less thing they can throw fundraisers for and campaign on, and solving the problem doesn't actually matter because they just want re-election which can be gotten with big promises.

Trump comes from a world where a deadlock with a supplier, or a union, or another business can't be held in stasis for decades, where those conflicts need to be resolved so that the business can survive. Ideally solved in a way where both sides end up making money and doing better afterwards, because that leads to higher returns over time when you've converted a possible enemy to a partner. It isn't merciful or kindhearted in the motivation, but practical.

That is the key to his ability to break these diplomatic deadlocks that have been in place all over - he's not interested in politically grifting the status quo. His instinct is different when he arrives on the scene, and his first reaction is probably something like 'why are you stupid bastards spending all this time dick measuring when you could be fucking the call girl?'. Which is a metaphor for all the wasteful posturing these nations usually do, instead of anything valuable in practice.

The Serbia-Kosovo situation is a perfect example.
"Why aren't you guys doing some trading? You could make some great deals! Money for everybody and good times."
"Oh, we'd like to have trade deals and make money and do cool stuff but I want to name the lake!"
"Fuck you, I wanna name the lake!"
"We'll call it Lake Trump, problem solved. Now, can we talk trade?"

Even if the renaming is kind of a joke solution, its a useful solution because it takes a lot of tension out of the whole debate. Remember when Bush II was the "cowboy", and Savior Obama was the skilled diplomat who was going to suavely seduce the rest of the world with his Big Black Diplomacy?

Then he bungled the Green Revolution, gave the Queen of England an iPod, and sent Hillary Clinton to push a red "reset" button with Russia.

Solving issues like a lake's name so you can peacefully develop an economic region is the stuff that actual diplomacy is made of. It's the "devil in the details" that can derail entire treaties. It's the hard work of diplomacy that Obama was never interested in; he wanted to fly in, deliver a teleprompter speech, and if the locals didn't bow down he was done with the mess.

Trump is getting deals done because he's focusing on making deals, and getting the people who work for him to do the same. He's doing diplomacy using the language of business.

Trump is a better Obama diplomat than Obama ever was.

Presented for its value as dark comedy, an FBI agent describes Trump Derangement Syndrome in the Special Counsel's Office:

It's not as funny as Strzok and Page's narcissistic folie a deux, but he clearly thinks the Flynn investigation was worthless and has great contempt for the people running it. At the very end of the interview, he describes an in-joke called "Collusion Clue," in which any two people, in any place, conducting any activity, was evidence of collusion.

Again. His proposal for that Black community donation, what and where is the execution with all that's going on?

Trump can say anything.

If Trump is giving away gibs to the black community, he'd better dismantle the Democratic political machines that run most black-populous cities, since that's where MOST of the money goes to. It rarely ever goes to improving life on the street for the average black person. Remember when Baltimore got a huge bailout for infrastructure and so little of that money went for its intended purpose that Republican volunteers actually had to come in and clean the streets?
